Bunch of scammers. This place sucks. Would give negative stars if I could. Completely tried to rip me off last week, but luckily I was smart enough to consult another dentist before making any further procedures. STAY AWAY.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this practice. They always take time to educate me on the best ways to take care of my mouth and are very thorough.

My insurance pays 100% for preventative care such as cleaning, exams and xrays. I would take my kids in for six months check up and when they were done they would say, $75 per kid please. Why? Because they were screening them for mouth cancer and doing all kinds of things to them without asking me- rinses and measuring tests. I tefused to pay for them. I told them four different visits, just cleaning and exam. Everytime they added on things. Then they told me my 15 year old fillings needed removed because they were older than 10 years. Then they told me my verticle groove in my molar needed filled because it could some day get decay. I fought them on that - said if not broke don't fix. They harrassed me so hard I let then fill it. It didnt need it. Then they tried to talk me into removing an wisdom tooth that has nothing wrong with it. I do not trust them at all and have left.

To all looking for a new dentist, after using Hessel Park Dentistry this Friday I would strongly advise AGAINST going to this office. They told me I had stage four gum disease and was close to losing teeth in my mouth, for this reason they suggested I URGENTLY get their treatment plan for a cleaning with them that costed 1700 dollars (keeping in mind that Cheryl is a dental hygienist and not even a periodontist). Yes 1700 for a cleaning. This caused me extensive worry this weekend and I did not eat any food to not make my gums worse. HOWEVER, after seeing a very fair Periodonsist in Champaign today, he told me that this was very very false information. And that I had a mouth infection and just needed to wait that out and just a cleaning would suffice, not quadrant cleaning. At Hessel Park they are out for their bottom line only, they are very young dentists probably trying to make a living any way they can. Would highly reccomend using other dentists in the area and NEVER visiting this office as they just want your money. I played tennis for the University of Illinois and just graduated. Very unfair to be lied to in the healthcare services. They will petrify someone that they have a SEVERE DISEASE in an attempt to get more money.
