Very friendly owners and staff. It's a small family owned business that serves standard Mexican fare. Nothing special, but always good. Their cocktails are quite tasty as well. The only issue I have had is eating too much delicious food... no regrets though.

First time being here but absolutely amazing. The wait staff, food and atmosphere are about 10/5. I will definitely be back again and again

we are new to the area and each Friday we have been trying out takeout from different restaurants in the Camas/Washougal area. we recently tried out Los Jalapenos and were really bummed after we brought it home and started eating. We both got the combo 6 which included a taco, tamale and enchilada. We both got chicken on all three items. The taco was so soggy you couldn't pick it up and we had to eat it with a fork, although I just didn't really even end up eating it because it was tasteless, soggy and overall gross. The tamale was the best of the three but I still wouldn't call it a good tamale. The outer corn part was ridiculously thick and there was barely any meat inside and when I did cut in to it they had given me beef and not the chicken I ordered. I stay away from red meat so I was super bummed that the best item on my plate was something I really didn't want to eat. Lastly was the enchilada. It was also soggy and tasteless. The refried beans were quite tasteless as well, the rice was okay, like it was the only item they bothered to season. The chips were cold and not salted and rather tasteless as well and the salsa was watered down tomato run off with onion and cilantro chunks. Honestly, taco bell tastes 100 times better than this restaurant. Sure, the portions are large but who wants large portions of the blandest Mexican food I have ever encountered in my life?! We will definitely steer clear of Los Jalapenos from now on.

You can tell this business is family-operated. With good cause, they take pride in the cuisine and the manner in which it's served. They use fresh ingredients, seasoned just enough to enhance the flavor and never over- or under-cooked. This place serves the most amazing fajitas I've ever had - and they make their sangria in-house. There are 4 Mexican restaurants in this town and Los Jalapeños is the furthest distance - worth those extra couple miles! :)

Ordered the Molé Mrxicano and the chicken was tough as if it had been cooked earlier in the day and sat in a warmer instead of simmered in the sauce; however, the Molé sauce itself was very delicious! No había Agua De Jamaica. The staff was nice and the service was good!
