FOHONC is dedicated to supporting natural resource education and habitat protection in Fairfax County. Come visit us and enjoy nature!
Friends of Hidden Oaks Nature Center (FOHONC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization of local citizens who want to make a difference in the greater Annandale community. Since our creation in 2003, FOHONC has contributed to many projects to benefit Hidden Oaks and the broader community. In 2011 we received the Fairfax County Park Authority's Elly Doyle Park Service Award for our success in certifying Fairfax County as a National Wildlife Federation Community Backyard Habitat. We are also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Nature Playce. Some other recent projects include supporting purchases of plant identification signs, participating in the annual Fairfax County Earth Day Celebration, supporting Boy Scout Eagle Projects, and providing funds for projects and programs run by Hidden Oaks naturalists.
