My favorite dog park in the Arlington area. Love how the park is set up as a walking path. We also just let our pup play in the water for the first time and she absolutely loved it. We were skeptical at first because it isn’t totally enclosed but all of the other dogs kept her more than occupied. So happy to have such a nice place to take my dog!!

One of my favorite parts of Shirlington by far! My girlfriend and I regularly bring our dog here to get some play-time and run around. There is a small-dog section which allows puppies and small-sized dogs to play together without any larger animals, and a long walking side for all dogs. It is always very busy whenever the weather is nice!

Pretty good park. Most of it is wheelchair accessible. However, getting down to the water is impossible with anyone with any mobility issues because it is not wheelchair accessible and that is why I docked two stars from it. It’s really unfortunate because my dog loves to swim and I would make a trip here often if not for the fact that I can’t get down to the water.

Good access to drinking water. Access to polluted creek. Some people bring their babies in strollers:dangerous! Dogs have a good time. Muddy after a rain.

Parking here is awful. They've added more spots in the last few years, but if you think it's a nice afternoon to go to the dog park, so did 500 other people. We spent 20+ minutes going around the block looking for anything (and we know the secret spots too). Once there, it's a nice stroll along the water. It's pretty clean, all things considered.  There's poo bags, water, and access to 4 mile run stream.  My dog loves the water, but there has been pollution/contamination issues in the past. Let your dog drink or swim in the water at your own risk.  And bring something to clean them with or protect your seats if you let them swim.
