5 Year customer with four dogs here. Always excellent quality care. The docs are very knowledgeable and willing to spend all the time it takes to answer your questions and provide advice and insights. Vet techs are wonderful, competent and caring, and the front desk staff is polite, professional and helpful. Easy to get an appointment, plus they are always willing to work in a pet for urgent care situations.

They are caring, excellent vets and get you in promptly when needed. My dog got attacked by deer and I found they were thorough but still cash conscious (haven’t won the lottery yet so that’s important). Bottom line is I’d bring my animals here before any other vet in Bend.

Dr Barkhurst was amazing. She found out quickly what was wrong with my dog. Unfortunately it was cancer. Dr B and the whole staff were very kind, and very compassionate. Even though my dog was new to their practice, they gave him some meds that controlled the tumor and a med to control the UTI, overall it allowed him another month where he was running around playing with our other dog. He had not been able to run and play for about a year, thought he was just getting old. He went out with me to feed the horses, twice a day, played in the hay, and ran around barking. I can’t thank High Desert Vet enough. When it came time to put him down, they were compassionate and explained what would happen. My dog was not scared and ate treats up to the very end. They took great care to make sure he was in no pain. I would highly recommend. ❤️

Very sick kitten. Treatment didn't work over the weekend and he was getting worse. Called to update vet and they never called me back! Seriously disappointed and sad that he is so much worse and they don't seem to care. Update: Went to another vet yesterday. They dewormed him and tested for giardia and coccidia and only charged me $45 for the test! HDV wanted to charge me $140!! The deworming has really helped. Why HDV didn't deworm him is beyond me. If a vet can't treat simple diarrea I can't imagine they are competent treating more difficult medical issues.

Dr. Oddo and his staff are tremendous, from the small vet family atmosphere to the quality of care I couldn't be happier.
