Hillbrook Inn & Spa is a romantic West Virginia bed and breakfast situated on more than 30 acres of expansive estate grounds, some of which once belonged to George Washington. Enjoy exploring the beautiful gardens, streams and wooded walks at our historic B&B close to Harpers Ferry. We stayed overnight in the Bamford Suite on 2/18. Everything was perfect from check in to our spa treatments the next morning. Daniella was the concierge when we arrived- she gave us a beautiful tour. We decided last minute to have dinner at the Inn & she did everything she could to accommodate us! We booked spa services the next day and they were absolutely wonderful- I had a massage and my friend had a facial, both ladies were professional & warm. The grounds were beautiful with the fresh snow and I can only imagine how it looks during spring with the flowers and fall when the leaves are changing. I will definitely be back!

We have stayed at the majority of the properties that Hillbrook has to offer (Main House, Gatehouse, Hawthorne and Farmhouse) and have not been disappointed. My favorite room is adjacent to the spa (Tranquility Suite) since we always try to book a massage when we stay. It's close to the main house (for breakfast/dinner) and the spa is right outside your door. The staff is always welcoming and helpful in case you want to check out some of the local attractions. We love that it's a quick get away for rest and relaxation.

We were married in '98 and came to Hillbrook in '99. We decided after looking at the menu on the New Years Eve package to come back and take a stroll down memory lane. Despite being under new management, we were not disappointed. It was a grade A experience, both in accommodation and fine dining. In sharing some room for improvement (mild smell of sewerage in our room at the Farmhouse in Summit Suite), Carissa seemed genuinely concerned and said she'd get a man over there pronto to check it out. I believe her, as everything was 1st class. I also left an personal item behind (expensive orthodontic device) and called the next day. Staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt. Marcy, in particular, was on top of locating and communicating to me about my lost item. You seldom get that at a hotel. All in all a wonderful experience down memory late and highly recommend it.

We spent 13 nights at the Hillbrook Inn while visiting family in the Charles Town area. The Inn is secluded and rural, but easily accessible and near to the town. The main house is uniquely beautiful and different. Our room was about 2 miles from the main house in the "farmhouse" which included two rooms above ours. Our room was chosen for us because it had a ramp to the door which we needed for handicapped accessibility. It was a 2 room suite with a king bed. The house had a full kitchen where a microwave and a portion of the refrigerator were available to us. It also had a community sitting room. The cleaning staff were very friendly, efficient, and did a thorough cleaning job. Our room was usually taken care of before we were back from our 8:30 breakfast. The chef prepared interesting breakfasts, ranging from egg dishes to waffles. When a dish sounded like something we might not like, he was flexible and prepared different meals for us. When our schedule did not allow time to eat at our scheduled time, we were provided with excellent continental breakfasts delivered the night before. We had a great experience at the Hillbrook Inn.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hillbrook Inn. There were a few days things that bothered me, though. Here they are: 1) We are both 70. We had a room on the back with 2 small sets of stairs. It was snowing, and I almost felt like crying, going up the steps.The person who signed us in, casually said, "Do you need help with your bags? That was in the front of the building! I think they should have insisted on helping us to the back! I did say to my husband, "Maybe, we don' look our age!" 2)The food was excellent! Our compliments to the chef! BUT! The bread was a disappointment. Also, I think they ahoud have had a slightly bigger breakfast. They could add a bread basket. There was no toast, rolls or muffins. 3) Lastly, as one of 5 children, in charge of cleaning the bathroom, the grout in the shower should be scoured more. On the positive side, the place is lovely, and the staff are charming! We will be back...to a room that is not up stairs that are outside!
