Story

Welcome to The Country Inn! We are located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia in beautiful Berkeley Springs, our nation’s first spa. We have 70 unique rooms, English country gardens, an exclusive cottage and retreat center, gift shop, Gallery Room, Conference Room, and Parkview Restaurant & Tavern. The Country Inn was originally opened in 1933, by the local Harmison family as the Park View Inn and has been open year round ever since. Our inn possesses both bucolic charms with modern amenities.

We are perfectly located in the heart of Berkeley Springs. Our town is known for its warm springs, art, antiques, and beautiful scenery. Whether you are here to take in the waters at the historic state park next door, the Renaissance Spa, or visiting our quaint shops you will be within walking distance while staying at the Country Inn.

Came here for a weekend getaway with the girls and absolutely loved it! The rooms were clean and spacious. I was worried about staying in the west building and not in the main building but it actually worked out perfectly since you go to the spa through the west building. The people at the front desk were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was walking distance from all the cute shops around town.  I will definitely come back to enjoy another relaxing weekend!

Great place to eat! The Country Inn is a historical hotel however they have taken steps to update some of the areas for accessibility. A few feet to the left of the main front entrance is a ramp for access. You enter into a ballroom which leads you to a corridor with another ramp entrance to the main lobby. There is an accessible bathroom on this floor. Tina, at the front desk was happy to show us how you access the handicapped accessible rooms from the main hotel, which are in a newer section of the hotel. There is a covered ramp to the newer section of the hotel and access from the parking lot. The rooms are large and are equipped with devices for changing and bathing including handrails and seating. If there is anything else you require they seem to be very willing to accommodate.

We love The Country Inn! If you're looking for a place to stay in Berkeley Springs, this is a great choice. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants and you're right next door to the state park. The rooms are comfortable and charming, though if you're looking for a more traditional hotel, get a room in the newer building. But if you like historic charm, opt for the old building. Food here is also great! We go almost every Tuesday for half price apps. Staff is super friendly, too.

Room was clean and comfortable. No issues at all during our two night stay. Our room was conveniently located in the same building as the spa!

Nice historical place. Food was great and priced nicely. Rooms were very spacious and mattress was very comfortable. Clean friendly place. Dog friendly.  However no large grassy area to relieve your dog.  Walking distance to lots of places. Berkeley Springs State park only feet away.
