We just joined last month and could not be happier. Tonight they really showed how great their service was when my son had an incident in childcare tonight. They went above and beyond than expected!! I'm so glad we made the decision to join.

This is a really nice gym and what I call the poor mans country club. It has nearly everything you need to get in shape, relax, and socialize sans a golf course and tennis courts. Where else can you crush some deadlifts, get amped doing Bodypump class, shed tears trying to bend your legs into Happy Baby Pose during Yoga class, swim laps in their salt water or regular pool, decompress in the hot tub or sauna, then end the day with a frosty beer all at one place in the same day? Its only expensive if you do not take advantage of everything they offer. Parking is convenient with an open lot and garage. They have classes and sports options for both kids and adults. The facility is always clean and the staff are friendly. A wonderful place to get or stay in shape alone or with your family/friends.

This is the best health club that we had ever been, they have everything that you are looking for, great maintenance , staff are friendly. Price may be higher than other places, but quality comes first. To us, it is worthy, if not because too far for us, we will join for sure. Ed. and Grace

Listen, hockessin athletic club is highly well rounded and it's really a beautiful place to work out, enjoy your time, and everything. They also have a beautiful outlook and such. But there's several negatives about this place. One is that this place is partically way too strict about there "policy" abroubt for example, the pool policy, and how you have to remain 14 or older to roam around yourself. Okay, yes I get that you want it to be a safe and entertaining environment but this is not something that should be intacted and affect several people. A child was highly upset because sometimes kids can't have adultry help or something, and hac doesn't respect that. They would reject you if you don't have a "parent" even if you 16 years old? That's hilarious because it's totally unacceptable and ignorant. So, I'll tell you, hockessin athletic club is okay, but the poeple here and how they work with us is insane because they berifle and share negative connotations, and are way to brief upon there rules in which you can't do anything such as a simple work out. Thank you . Also to add is that they are completely over priced and the service isn't even worth the price . I also wanna intent that they are horrible and the staff is so rude, and don't let you do anything or nearly anything towards fun. I'm serious so many children and intellectual people devise to this gym and get so many problems that are ridiculous, this gym is non sense and useless. I swear I've been here for some time and it's horrible, I gave it a try and can't deal with it . I just don't trust them anymore, there like robbers and a ridicule. They ruin so many children's lives and adults. It's sincerely not well.

I love the HAC! My daughter has attended preschool, has now participated in aftercare, daycare, swim lessons, dance, karate and numerous extracurricular activities. All of these programs were terrific. The workout facilities are more than adequate, and there are too many exercise classes to mention. The cafe food is very good. More importantly the HAC is involved in the community. The HAC is not cheap and I would like them to have a rewards program based on the amount of dollars a member's family spends. Currently the HAC gives $15 (?) a month in virtual currency to spend in the cafe for all members, which is a nice bonus. My rating of five stars stands because I have been a member for five years, I am happy with the way they treat my family. I have yet to scratch the surface with the programs that they offer.
