From the first time my family visited the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home to plan for our Mother's funeral, we were impressed with the knowledge, concern and sensitivity which were shown to us as we made the arrangements.  The fact that Hodders had taken care of my Father's funeral helped to make a difficult situation more bearable.  Hodder Farenga had the needed cemetery information along with the information regarding my father's burial that was further able to help us with the decisions that had to be made.   
My Mother's death came shortly after our first meeting at The Hodder Farenga Funeral Home.  When we returned to finalize the funeral plans, Nicholas was there to offer his condolences and to help us navigate all that needed to be done while we came to terms with our loss.  Nicholas was so patient with me and my sisters and all our requests.  Nicholas’s demeanor was always kind and accepting and non-judgmental.  All the arrangements were truly "handled with dignity and respect" and they were "fulfilled to our satisfaction" and beyond. 
Not only was our family looked after during the viewing hours but those that came to pay their respects were given the same attention.  One example that stands out in my mind came when the viewing hours were over.   Someone came to see my Mother after we had left.  Instead of telling them that the viewing hours were over and sending them away, Nicholas graciously opened the room and allowed them to pay their respects to my mother.  Such a thoughtful thing to do.  Thank you.
Our Mother looked just as we knew her and arranging for a priest to be at the funeral home was very comforting.  The transition from the funeral home, to the church, to the cemetery was seamless. 
It was with a great sense of peace that we left our Mother at her Eternal Resting Place as a result of the experience we had at The Hodder Farenga Funeral Home and the personal care and attention provided by Nicholas.
In conclusion Nicholas, we thank you and the staff at Hodder Farenga for all you did to help us give our Mother a funeral that she deserved - one with love and dignity.

Great place!  The staff was extremely sympathetic and super helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone !!!!

This place is run by a crook. Nick Farenga should be ashamed of himself. He comes off so nice but is a vulture. We were mourning the death of my mother in law, it's stressful and who has the mind to think? Everything here is over priced. And things on the bill are repeated just worded differently, so ur basically paying for the same services a few times. But not only that, you pay over $3k for things such as supervision and for someone to direct the guests, that wasn't done, everyone was walking in the wrong direction causing traffic in the room. They also asked us which flower arrangements we wanted to keep after all is said and done, we told them which arrangements and we put it on a side table and they promised to set it aside to pick up after the funeral. Well that wasn't the case, the next day when we called to let them know we were picking them up, we learned that they sold our flower arrangements back to the other florists they work with. He then told us he would replace them but he never did. They return your phone calls before they get your money, but once you pay, your on your own. There was only one person that was a good guy and that was Carl. Everyone else there is disgusting. They are patronizing and condescending and don't give a crap about people that are mourning Bc it's something they do everyday, they are like robots. Oh and on top of it he said he would take off $200 off the bill, because the hair and makeup charges were over $500 which is ridiculous... when it was time to pay he didn't take it off the bill, instead Nick played stupid as if he was going to do it at the end...we had him recalculate everything Bc the total was way above what we agreed on. We made him break it all down, he then fixed the price Bc he "added wrong", if we didn't catch it we would have paid even more then the rip off price he gave us ... He then just took $125 off the over calculated bill. We were so tired and stressed that it wasn't even worth arguing at that point. Beware of this place. Make sure you do your research on prices before you shop around. We chose that place Bc of the location, wasn't even worth it. Nick Farenga your disgusting.
