Since 1966, the funeral directors at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home have dedicated ourselves to providing compassionate and professional services to all our families. We are proud of our history of serving the local communities of Kingsbridge, Riverdale, Yonkers, Upper Manhattan, Westchester and New Jersey for over 50 years.

I recently had a service at Riverdale on Hudson Funeral Home. The lack of attentiveness was awful. During the arrangement conference, the owner got very irritated every time I asked him to explain a charge. After a while he was outright rude and dismissive. He came off as a bit of a snob. Excuse me for my ignorance but I just did not understand certain items that I was being charged for.  A charge I questioned was a supervision charge. I asked him what the 500 is for. The answer was "it's for the staff to help and supervise the visitation period". We had arranged for a 2 hour visitation only. I saw one man who opened up the door. $250 per hour? I also paid around $1200 to use the room. $1700 for 2 hours is the most expensive room in the City of NY not to mention the place was very old and tired looking.

I will be eternally grateful to Anne and her staff for all of the help and support they offered my family during a very difficult time. I would never consider using anywhere else

It's been long overdue that I write about my wonderful experiences with Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home.  My family has used them for 5 different family members.  They were able to partner with other funeral homes to service us where we wanted to view our family members:  Bergen County, NJ, Hudson County, NJ, Nassau County, NY, Queens, NY as well as in their own funeral home.  Anne & Jeff Wiecek and staff made us feel like family.  With compassion, they were there for us before, during and after all funerals. They took care of my family like if they were their own.  You can't imagine how important that is during such sad, confusing times.  They reminded us of all important decisions and made wonderful suggestions on details that would have crossed our mind.  We can't thank them enough for making such horrible times comforting.  I would use them again and again and recommend them to anyone.
