We made a last minute trip to Hoeft's and had a good experience.  The majority of visitors are seasonal stays but there are also a number of nice sites for shorter stays.  We were on the peninsula with a wooded site.  Most sites appear to have water and electric.  The beach/swimming area is on the smaller side but our son enjoyed it.  There was a beach slide into the water and a swim platform.   We selected the campground to camp and rent canoes.  The lake does have some areas with extremely dense weeds and lily pads but we still had a great time out on the water.   The do have a bar, snack shop and game room on site but we did not use any of these amenities.  Only being an hour from Milwaukee, we will certainly visit Hoeft's again!

We stayed over the weekend... Aug 11th and 12th overnight, checked out the 13th......was very unhappy with our stay.... Sites are very tight to get into and too close together..... Way too loud and no enforcement of  excessive noise or partying that got out of hand by the site behind us..... We won't be back!!!!

Been coming to this Resort for almost 35 years and I really can't complain other than the fact that I wish it was open year-round.
