Better than the H chains. Though new helps, you can't pick attitude. You can only teach it and theirs is warm safe and welcoming. Glad to stay at such a safe conveniently located place.

The Hotel falsely advertised "No Smoking Rooms " and yet did not enforce the policy as the guest in the room directly next to me was smoking marijuana which left my room with a strong odor for a couple of days. A complaint was brought to the front desk clerk on duty who acknowledged the odor and management showed no enforcement of the rule. Staff stated this client was a regular customer visiting/working from Canada which means the substance was illegally being used on the premises. I made several attempts to speak with Vince, the General Manager however he refused to speak with me in person ( he was busy on a conference call and left the building for the day) while I was still checked into the hotel and neglected to return my calls after several requests. He falsely told the IHG guest relations that he attempted to call me and yet there was no record of these attempts per my call logs on my home & cell phone. Staff of the Hotel did state that Vince the GM sold his share of the Hotel and will be no longer working at the establishment within 10 days and will be opening a new location in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Hotel also falsely advertised they can accommodate small items as on the Eve of my departure I asked the front desk clerk Antoine if I could borrow some tape and I was told by him that I was not allowed to take the dispenser to my room so I could tape the lids of my body wash/shampoo. As I was pleading with Antoine he stated it wasn't his problem that I needed tape and I was threatened by him that he was going to call the police on me. Immediately I canceled my future reservation dated 12/24/17 - 12/30/17 Within a few moments another associate came out from the back of the office that's behind the front desk and I shared with her the events that just occurred. I asked her if she could write Antoine's name down for me and she said that she couldn't. I'm still waiting for someone to return my call from upper management which I highly doubt will happen and I'm appalled by how Holliday Inn conducts business.

Very clean, big comfortable clean beds, sofa convertible, and large desk. WiFi is fast (6Mbs down 5 up) and free! Smells great - no smoking. Awesome friendly helpful employees. Near lots of shopping and restaurants. Safe neighborhood. We had a wheelchair accessible room with adjacent room where we could leave the doors open. Samsung TV's are about 40", have all cable, and HDMI ports. The business area with free prints and free computer access was really convenient. They have a Keurig (a few free k-cups too) in room as well as frig and microwave. No view, and no hot tub (but they do have pool), but the best value I think I've ever had. Very happy with my stay. They have a small concession area that I think is open 24hrs. The restaurant right outside was closed for some reason, but they have free breakfast in the morning downstairs. Their bathrooms are very spacious, and they have a cool contemporary mirror with makeup lights. The girl at the front desk (Isis) was very bubbly and super nice. Even energetic late at night. She set up a free crib for me in our room.

Beautiful ambience throughout the entire Hotel. Rooms are lovely and comfortable and so are the suites which is where we stayed it was an open concept with all conveniences for your stay. The Continental breakfast was brilliant - just a little complaint the kitchen staff was just a Slow with pancakes my granddaughter had to wait for - and also on Sunday the pancake machine was out of order, this made it a very sticky situation for me as she is a Very Finicky eater and didn't want much of anything else and the other thing is the rooms are not very sound proof the maid was Maid was vacuuming the Hall @ 7:30 am and was awakened at this time not by choice. All in all it was a comfortable and ideal Hotel it's Cost efficient, Modern, Convenient & Courteous Staff. Thank You.
