I normally do not take the time to post a review but I am so surprised by the condition of this hotel that I felt I needed to inform the public. This is not up to the Hilton standard. The rooms were very warm and did not cool off. I had to open the window in February in Detroit in order to get the temperature down to something bearable. The room was musty and the bathroom was in poor condition with paint chipping and the fixtures filthy. The elevators had pieces falling off and there were missing light bulbs throughout the hotel. The food at the restaurant was horrible and I had to toss it as I thought it may have been spoiled meat. I am a loyal Hilton business traveller and stay at Hilton properties almost every week. I feel like I need to question my choice at this point if this is considered a representative hotel for the Hilton brand. Very disappointed.

This happened to be the worst Embassy Suites we have ever stayed at. We checked in for a four night stay and checked out after the first night. The hotel was virtually empty, and yet when we checked in at 3am, the first room they took us to smelled rank from cigarettes and had to move. The second room smelled fine, but the mattress had to have been 20 plus years old. It sank so deep in the middle that I was not able to sleep that night. The "new" sofa bed mattress was paper thin and could only be comfortable for someone weighing less than 40 pounds. Paint was chipped and peeling everywhere around the hotel and buttons were missing inside the elevators. It was also hard to believe that in less than two years after a bathroom renovation that the bathroom shower was so dirty. Every corner was disgustingly gross. Avoid!!!!

This hotel has been going down hill for years. It used to be a very nice Embassy Suites 7 years ago. Now it is a dirty old hotel with many worn out and broken things. The breakfast was good.

I stayed at this hotel a few months.. I still get mad when I think about my experience.. the front desk staff was amazing!!! Especially Aubrey!! The breakfast and happy hour was pretty good. The housekeeping manager on the other hand, Awful! She ignored our request over the phone and to our face.. the worst part about our stay was the used condoms under the bed, the half eaten bag of chips behind a bench, pennies and pills on the floor!! I complained while I was there. Management promised me a refund.. well, I was refunded at first then 12 days later my card was recharged!! I have been fighting these charges since September (4 months ago) I even disputed the charges thru my bank the hotel told them “ property services were rendered “ I am still furious!!

Nice hotel including rooms and cleanliness. Housekeeping did not replace our coffee daily and we could not control the AC in our room but it was comfortable so I didn't make a fuss. the breakfast was amazing and dinner was awesome just a little slow in bringing it to us. The staff during breakfast was top notch as was the food. It was far from everywhere so I would suggest renting a car if possible.
