It is hard to beat this group of amazing people. I truly believe that the atmosphere comes from the top down, and I believe that this is my favorite place to stay in Hartford metro area. Super friendly service from the moment I checked in. Breakfast served every morning is a huge plus. Room is spacious and great for extended stays.

Booked this hotel in January for my wedding in November. When I originally booked I was told there was one other wedding for the date I chose. I was able to book the block for 10 rooms in January for November 11th. When I originally booked the block with Amanda there was absolutely no mention of the block being lifted one month before the date of the wedding. When I called her to confirm the block in October she told me that the block time was over and that it was "in my contract" so I went back to my contract and nowhere on it did it say that anywhere. After some discussion with another manager they let us have 6 rooms and also told us that there were three other weddings on that date in that hotel and that the entire hotel was booked. (I found this ridiculous because not only did I book almost a year in advance, I had absolutely no idea or warning that the block expired.) Amanda was no help whatsoever, and I had to wheel and deal 6 rooms after an unexpected drop of our block. In the end it worked out, there were a couple of family members that had to share rooms but that wasn't the biggest deal. We arrived to the hotel after the wedding promptly at midnight to be greeted by a cheerful shining staff who was very accommodating so I felt better about my decisions and my stay. When we arrived in our "King Suite" it was smaller than a standard bedroom with a fridge and sink area, and a cramped kitchen and shower. There was no "office area" or room for hosting the after party we were planning to host. We didn't think anything about it and just had our guests over, one by one as they walked in they all told us that their rooms were much larger than ours and one of them even said "I can't believe that the bride and groom got the smallest suite in the hotel" of course, we didn't think it was that bad but trying to host guests, and having nowhere for them to sit was difficult. Again, we aren't usually complainers and we were all really thankful for the wedding and accommodations we already had. About 2 days later I got an email from Homewood asking how my stay was. I answered honestly (the staff was wonderful and accommodating, the food was good, the hotel was clean etc...) because it was. Then at the end I wrote exactly what I thought; that our room was smaller than the pictures showed, that we were expecting a larger area to accommodate our guests and that we were disappointed in the overall size of the room and bed etc.. I received an email from someone named Lindsay telling me that we actually DID have a King Suite and that's what they looked like. She said "I'm sorry you expected a larger suite but they are all the same size" which is a blatant lie since all of our guests that had standard rooms told us that our room was smaller than theirs. I told her that if the King Suite was truly the room we stayed in then they need to update their pictures because that's false advertising. I'm giving this review 2 stars because the hotel staff was nothing short of sweet, graceful and accommodating and the breakfast was satisfactory, but the management is rude, unapologetic and downright awful to deal with. Especially Amanda.

Very nice, clean hotel. Seems pretty new. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a good shower. The breakfast had a good selection and the seating area is also very good.
