I had meant to try I Love Sushi for at least 15 years. A month ago, I did. I’ve now been back for my third meal and it is now my favorite restaurant. If you are alone or in a small group, the sushi bar is fantastic. The food is always exceptional.Food: 5/5
Sublime sushi spot in Bellevue! This is a true local gem, and seems like a go-to for the local Japanese population. The whole experience reminded me of dining in Tokyo. And wow a the fish was so fresh and excellent. Every last bite!
Premium Chirashi: Fish were fresh but not satisfying with the portion, the cut was thin. I love sushi gozen: like variety of the items. Liked the service and they refilled the tea quick. Overall, I like everything but not satisfied with the the Sashimi portion size, the cut is so thin.
Pricy but mostly delicious! The miso sea bass is excellent. Sashimi and agadashi tofu was on point. Beef sukiyaki was just ok - beef was tough not tender.
The restaurant is adjacent to a small lake. So the view is beautiful and makes me relaxed. Food is of great taste, especially the potato salad and umaki. Service is nice, as well. The only drawback is a little bit pricey. But the lunch menu is cost effective.Food: 5/5
Sushi is so delicious. The atmosphere is fine, they play old jazz music, which is weird but it's fine. The staff are very friendly. All around a great experience.Food: 5/5
Loved our lunch here. All the sushi was good quality and tasted amazing. I would recommend getting one of their lunch specials. The service was excellent and the views of Bellevue Lake were beautiful.Recommended dishesRoll
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and right next to a pond. Reserve a table by the pond if you want to get a view. They give you oshibori to start with, the wet towel to wipe your hand, which is kindda nice. You usually get that when you dine in Japan. Apparently most of the chefs and servers are japanese. We ordered ikura/uni chawanmushi which was pretty good, chirashi bowl and grilled salmon. The chirashi bowl was smallish, but delicious and they use fresh wasabi which was a plus. We also get a benitenshi parfait. My partner was excited to try this. It's a special kind of sweet potato that was deep fried, served with vanilla ice cream, mochi, red bean paste and some clear jello. It was so good. My partner thinks it's more like anmitsu, some kind of japanese dessert. He is japanese. We also enjoyed talking to the servers, they were quite knowledgeable about the food so it was fun. We'd say it's a pretty authentic japanese restaurant.
There is a sort of Animal Crossing style charm to the decor here, with thick bamboo in artful stands through the restaurant. It's a family friendly place, which many, even most high-end sushi places are not, but it's still good enough quality that you'll enjoy your omakase without complaint but without utterly destroying your monthly budget. The staff is very sweet and attentive, and everything was extremely tasty and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the egg custard which was extremely silky and delicate, and made a perfect palette cleanser in between different bites of sushi. All of the fish was quite fresh, and the duck breast was also very well prepared. Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a restaurant that is perfectly fine for families.
Went here on a whim on a Saturday morning and had amazing food! The fish was fresh; the uni was tasty; everyone loved the kakuni mochi. The side dishes were top-notch. Prices were very affordable too! We will sure be coming back here again.
