Love this place. So many books. Prices are great. It could use better lighting throughout the entire place. Some areas aren't well lit and makes it a little harder on my eyes to read search for books.

I’ve loved coming to inkings since it opened.. other than the days Brian worked. The days Brian worked, he would make fun of me and yell at me when I would bring in James Patterson books.. would be 6 stars but, Brian took away a star with his humor. He took it away like he took my will to live and the presents he took away from children on their birthdays. Also, never come into this store when Brian is working if you value your life while chew gum or whistle. He will kick you out and/or make hawk noises at you on the spot. Also, reading is fun.

I'd just spent the last day at the Lawrence County Museum of History & Edward L. Hutton Research Library and wanted to pick up some light reading before heading to my room at the historic Rosemont Hotel so headed over to Inklings Bookstore.  The very nice young man behind the counter brewed a nice strong cup of black tea that was absolutely perfect. I settled into reading the first of the two books I purchased, having found a couple in a series that I've been following.  What a delightful atmosphere to spend time.  I did notice a rather large stack of table games off to a side and wished I had more time to spend in town. I would have loved to have played Apples to Apples or Munchkin with some local folk. Ah, maybe next time.

Visited on July 13, 2017. Purchased a hardback for 50c and enjoyed a A&W Root Beer float. It's like walking into a world within a novel. My favorite authors are Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. The basemet reminded me of the Relic and The Book of the Dead. The ambience of the store is very clubhouse like. Imagine the book store in the movie Never Ending Story. The furniture, building architecture, antiques, wall art felt as if they had been taken out of worlds within the books, either by intention or by accident. I enjoy randomly opening books and reading a few chapters. If you're a fan of Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451, " These books were alive; they spoke to me!". Inklings is a store but really it's what  a library should be like. It'd be a great place to read Harry Potter, The Last Apprentice, Harry Dresden, Cirque Du Freak. It looks like how I visioned the attic reading room I want. True book believers will find solace here.
