As I sit here in this emergency waiting area with my sister that is in horrible pain. I notice a young girl sitting at a triage in-take area. She is clearly in pain. In the open they speak openly about what is wrong with young girl. Its clear what ever is wrong with her its substantial. Four people at the front desk. "Patient check In/triage is laughing and cutting up at something on the computer. No tact, completely inappropriate behavior. I understand this is their job and you cant always be serious but some professionalism should be required. I hope I'm never in the position I would have to come to this hospital. If this is any reflection Of how this hospital operates I would hate to see the rest of their staff.

My brother, sister and I spent over two months - one of us was with her 24/7, 7 days a week - at this hospital after our mother had a pneumonectomy. I have never experienced such a dedicated staff of caring professionals. At the very end, on the day my mother passed away, they took every care they possibly could to make the day as easy and as special as possible. I could not have asked for more from any of them and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Intermountain Staff!

I️ was so surprised to see any poor ratings for IMC. My husband spent 3 months their waiting for a heart transplant. So we had a lot of time for evaluation. The nurses and staff there are top notch. They are skilled, kind, and go the extra mile. We have spent a lot of time in other hospitals but have never felt safer than we did at Imc . Their heart program is nationally rated as one of the best in the country. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, phlebotomy, physical therapy, Housekeeper’s etc. were exceptional.

My daughter was brought in, and admitted to the ICU. No one called us to tell us for hours. She said she kept telling them to please call my parents and gave them the number. We never got a call. We had to track her by her cell phone.

I wish I could rate them negative 5 stars. I’m lying here awake unable to sleep because I keep replaying our horrific experience. I met my parents at the ER today, Jan 12th around 430 or so. They ER was very busy so despite the fact that my Mom was literally going in and out of consciousness due to the severe pain she was experiencing we tried to be patient. I’ve never seen my Mom so beside herself. She is not a complainer and she’s very healthy. When she wasn’t unconscious she was crying and rambling incoherently. I was terrified. They checked us in. We waited. They called us up to put a wrist band on her and we waited some more. They called us back for vitals after about 40 minutes and while doing her vitals informed us it would be another 20 minutes. Through gritted teeth I asked if they could see how much pain she was in and they said there was nothing they could do. We waited. After another 30 minutes I approached the front desk explaining the 20 minutes had come and gone and my Mom was clearly going downhill fast. One male immediately and loudly pointed out that they had no control of the wait and “would my Mom like to share an ER bed with a stranger?” I asked that they put themselves in my shoes. My Mom seemed to be one of the worst off in the waiting area at the time and unless she was unconscious she was crying continuously due to extreme pain. A female employee said, “she can cry all she wants it’s not going to get her anywhere”. I was completely baffled. Do they have cameras or recording devices? Upper management should definitely be made aware of this behavior. I manage a group of 10 employees in a VERY busy medical practice. Patient is ALWAYS right. They could’ve handled things so many different ways but chose to be cruel, demeaning, and act completely, inappropriately asinine. I have LOTS of stimulation training videos my staff have gone through to learn how to deal with these delicate situations. I’m shocked IMC hasn’t better trained these individuals. My Mom ended up being treated for a broken shoulder and will need to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon. The physician and resident once we were taken back were super. The problem is that bad taste from my initial encounter won’t just go away. Train your employee!! Caring, patience and compassion go a long long way. I was actually surprised at the number of negative reviews. IMC should be ashamed.
