So I had just am amazing birthday evening at the Iron Monkey! Suzanne and Ivan were gracious hosts! The conversation got deep and rich which is so unusual for a venue like this. It seemed like all the customers joined in and enjoyed something beyond the superficial. Please go and bring the same energy to your experience there. Just Wow!!!

Iron Monkey has been in JC for 19 years.  It's a pretty cool place to meet up for drinks one of the first places I head to when the weather starts getting warm "rooftop bar".  They have a large menu of craft beers on tap they they are constantly cycling through, so there is always something new to try.  Food wise, this is not my go to spot.  It's decent pub grub but nothing substantial.  But that's just my taste.

Solid little bar, if a bit crowded for space.  The taps have a tendency to kick by the end of the night if something gets popular, so show up early.  The roof deck will also have specific tap lines that usually are fun locals that aren't often found in the area.

Iron Monkey has a nice selection of beer.  The staff seemed friendly, but the service left a lot to be desired.  At the time of my visit, there was no AC in the bar and this resulted in an area that was pretty hot.  If you're sensitive to heat, this is something to keep in mind on very hot days.
