Awesome food, great drinks, good service and live music on a few nights a week. Definitely try the baked meatloaf, the salmon, and the cheeseboard. The drinks are all well made, and the outdoor seating is a nice touch. Great history of the name too, be sure to check out the story on the menu. Cool map of the area from revolutionary war period too if you're a history buff.

This neighborhood gem is in Jersey City, NJ. You can have a seat at the bar, inside tables, or outdoor seating. The Manhattan skyline sets off the area. Our food was delicious, and Dave, our waiter, lives in the neighborhood. Thumbs up all the way around. If I were entertaining a client in the area, the Light Horse would be one of my go to's. Live entertainment rounds it all off.

My friend and I had lunch there on a summer Friday afternoon. We shared calamari as an appetizer and a creme brulee trio for dessert. Both were delicious. Our entrees were a lobster roll and crab cake. We shared a pitcher of sangria. Our check total was $95.00 😵, but I didn't sweat it. It's great for the neighborhood folks that can walk there. Driving & searching for parking is for the birds. 👎

Lovely place to be on weekends for brunch. I personally love their French toasts the most and the carrot-apple juice. Very good and friendly service. Also this place has a very quiet, peaceful and a pleasant feel which is hard to find on weekends!

Food is very good, ambiance was nice, service was very good. I had the ribs, oysters, and sausage with broccoli. Everything was cooked perfect and the oysters were fresh. Portions were just right and the prices were very reasonable. Can't wait to go back
