This place won an Orchid for design from the San Diego Architectural Foundation. It is a really cool place... Sort of industrial old school maritime. Menu was not as large as I hoped. Settled on the mussels in garlic white wine which was very good. Beer selection was decent. Bar looked extensive. Prices were reasonable, but not cheap. Enjoy!!

Possibly my favorite fresh oyster bar and seafood restaurant in San Diego, they are located in Little Italy and reservations are highly recommended because with walk-ins you tend to get sit at the kitchen after a wait. They have a nice selection of oysters, we usually split a dozen. We tend to like the briny oysters. The seafood is excellent. I really liked the mussels main dish I had this trip as well as the halibut. The charred baby broccoli is delicious too. I had the complete fish once and it was really good. It is busy here all the time and our server did an incredible job. Great quality food, cozy yet industrial atmosphere, and overall a good dining experience. I'd recommend trying it out.

Such a cute, and very delicious place in Little Italy (which we honestly didn't know existed until roaming around downtown). We sat at the big butcher block counter where the girls baking in front of us would bring us samples and talk to us about the new recipes (cream cheese and guava ice cream, YUM) and it was one of the coolest restaurant experiences I've ever had. Great environment, very busy, and good waitstaff. I am from AZ but if I was local this would be a common stop for me. Pictured are a few pics inside and outside, the fish and chips, the lobster roll with cheddar biscuits, and the blackberry and lavender creme brulee. Very unique flavors and delicious of course.

Truly over-hyped. Service was terrible and food was sub par for the price-even with the two cockroaches that crawled passed our table. The cold platter was decent but it's hard to screw that up. Cocktails we're pretty good. Fish was dry and bland. I'd stay away. Beautiful space though, again minus the cockroaches.

Happy hour $1 oysters from 3-6!! Still one of the cheapest and best. I wish they didn't tilt your oysters, the brine is what makes the sucking of oysters good. I've been here many times, tried a lot. Not a fan of their lobster roll, it has too much mayo in it. Their mussels are good. They always have a rotating menu. Their beers are served at a slightly warmer temp and they don't fill it to the top of the glass. So come for the oysters and mixed drinks!
