You can tell, from the moment you walk it, that this is a place where dreams die, hatred is born, and where the government doesn't even provide you with lubrication before they violently, but precisely, penetrate you. I decided to walk into this facility after spending over 4 hours on hold. It's no surprise that it's located in a building owned by one of the largest contractors involved in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but let's leave politics out for right now. I take my seat and examine the room around me. To the left and behind me are rows and rows of different "forms". Each one with a different seventy-three digit number labelling it. The girl running the desk is currently helping another guest. There is also one other person between her and I. It takes no time at all for the girl at the desk to call on me (surprised?). I get to the desk only to be informed that I need an appointment in order for them to listen to how I want to give them their extortion money. She hands me a piece of paper with a phone number on it. I wanted to sit down and call the number, but apparently I'm not allowed to use a phone when I'm on this side of their glass door So I step to the other side of the glass door and sit down to make my phone call. The guy that answers tells me to call a different number. It happens to be the original IRS number. I've been on hold for the entire time it's taken me to write this review from my phone. And Iowa's on hold well before that. 45 minutes total. I hate this place. The IRS is outdated and archaic. The entire world around it has managed to simplify but it remains more and more complicated. Would be nice if it joined us in the 21sr century or disappeared all together.

Appointments compulsory. Be prepared for long waiting hours(we had to wait two hours and fifteen minutes). Staff are friendly and helpful.

You're better off waiting 3 years after you owe and then claim bankruptcy.

Has anyone called the number above. What a waste of 30 seconds. Whats the point of showing that information if that number has no use. I give it 1 star for at least having and address. SMH

Long wait. Only maybe 2 or 3 booths open at a time. When I was there last, all the booths closed, maybe for lunch while upwards of 30 people were waiting on them. I got there at 8:59 and had maybe 4-5 numbers ahead of me, got to the number before me at around 11 and waited maybe an hour or more for my number to be called next. Really the only considerate or nice person there was the officer.
