Let me start by saying I don't like art museums, it's just not my thing. The initial reason we went was to check out the courtyard. I had seen photos and wanted to bring the family. Another reason was the intrigue of the art theft of 1990 that has not been solved. After visiting all I can say is wow! It is more than an art museum there are artifacts as well. Not to mention the building itself is amazing with the courtyard, rooms, corridors & staircases. We spent 3 hours there and I would go back anytime to explore some more. The kids really enjoyed finding the empty frames of the stolen artwork. We even went home to youtube more information on the theft.

Easy to get to on the tram system. A fantastic, one of a kind place... Visit the 2nd floor first in the new facility and building and see what's currently being showcased, then perhaps explore the artist in residence on the 1st (ground) floor; grab a coffee perhaps too, BEFORE going through the glass, enclosed corridor into what will then blow your mind... That's how I'd visit. And... Wow! What a collection. When you're done being wowed, head on back and grab a bite to eat if you fancy. I don't want to spoil the unique experience of it all by saying too much on the art and installation, but, as collections go, and how and why it was done is quite something. Friendly, clean, and absolutely well worth a visit. Spend several hours hear, easily if you're into this.

A nice size. Not too big, not too small. It has a very unique courtyard with a great atmosphere. Especially when the music from the electric violinist echoes around the museum.

Great museum. You cannot enter the courtyard which is sad, but as a museum it is pretty great. The history of what Isabella collected is crazy. Would definitely recommend.

Museum is relatively small but does contain some beautiful pieces of art. The courtyard is a centerpiece and looks fantastic. There's also a concert hall with performances.
