Local in source, Texan in spirit, not only in the kitchen, but in the community, is what Jack Allen’s Kitchen is all about. Since 2009, our restaurant has been bringing Southern-inspired flavors infused with the spice of Southwestern cuisine to the Austin area. Chef and owner Jack Allen Gilmore’s dedication to local farmers and purveyors yields us the best from each season. Texas’ rich history and abundant local bounty serves as our daily inspiration, and it is our great honor to bring that directly to your table.

Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
           We didn’t wait at all to be seated by a nice hostess and our waiter immediately took care of us by answering all of our questions and recommending dishes based on our taste. He kept checking on us regularly to make sure we were doing fine. 

Food:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
         The presentation of the dishes were inviting and all the flavors worked well together. I only gave it 4 stars because at times it seemed a little bland and I lost some of the flavors that were outstanding in the beginning.

 But overall, it’s a unique and hidden restaurant in Round Rock. And I will definitely will be coming back and recommend to to everyone especially around night time.

We had an EXCELLENT experience! My wife and I had lunch there with her sister today.  My wife and I both had the trout salad.  That was the best fish I ever put in my mouth! Served with rice and red leaf lettuce, paired with a nice vinaigrette dressing made there in the restaurant.  VERY little sodium in that dressing!  Also an incredible chocolate dessert called a Chocolate Bomb.  My sister in law had the Sloppy Jack, basically their rendition of a Sloppy Joe.  

The restaurant is VERY clean, the staff attentive and friendly, service was VERY quick for a table-service restaurant, and the price was reasonable.  3 people ate there for about $65. We WILL be back! They did a GREAT JOB!

Jack Allen's Kitchen has high quality food at great affordable prices! When going, I highly suggest to go during lunch where it is less busy so you can get a seat right away. The staff always knows the answers to any questions you have. I personally enjoyed the appetizer ravioli and the 13/14 spice pasta. In the picture is their Key Lime Cheesecake.

Came here for a friend's birthday. Our waiter was great (can't remember his name, but looks to a large lumberjack). 

 Food was better than average with some good chicken fried foods. Some intriguing apps like bacon wrapped quail legs.

 Interesting drink options and every drink I tried, as well as what my friends had, were good.

I want to give Jack Allen's five stars, I really do.  There is so much they do right, but flavor just always comes up a bit short.

It's their own fault really. Perfect decor, great sounding menu, upper level pricing, and great presentation.  By the time the food arrives you feel like your taste buds will soar.  I've never had anything bad, but I also leave feeling like it could have been better... it will remain a place I take "out of towner"s because it's cool.
