This is not the same Rudy's that you may know, as they are franchises and in this case: NO PEACH COBBLER! The teller recommended the chocolate pudding - it was OK, but no peach cobbler.

Why would they do that?!? 😡

Also, comparing this BBQ place to the one next door (Jack Allen's Kitchen) doesn't make any sense... Right? Why would one compare them? Well... Because it costs the same to eat here than to eat there!

Not to say that the BBQ is not good, but it is overpriced. Just hours ago I ate better food at the place next door for the same $20 USD. Does that make sense?

Sadly, now that I know that they are a franchise that doesn't carry all the items from other franchises, I'll have to double check before I walk into this place and spend money as if I was eating in a full fledged sit down restaurant with table service. 😤🤬

The place where it’s amazing to be a rookie! They were very welcoming. You could smell the fresh bbq and even see it when you ate on the patio. They offered several samples. I recommend it for first time Texas goers who love bbq. Between two adults we spent about $28 for 1/2 lbs moist brisket, 1/2 lbs turkey and two small sides.

From the outside, the restaurant looked as I imaged once we were told the day before that my wife and I would be taken to the best bar-be-que place in Texas. Upon entering the great hall built to honor brisket, chicken, ribs, and sausage I was overwhelmed. I stepped up to place my order for a half pound of brisket, and a half pound of sausage plus cream corn. I was impressed as I ate the whole plate. I just hope we are taken back to have one last meal before heading back to New Jersey.

Rudy's is amazing! The food is outstanding, from the pork ribs to the brisket, smoked turkey to the sausage. You don't need BBQ sauce, buy if you insist, the sauce is fabulous as well.

The staff is amazing-friendly and efficient. It doesn't take long for them to know your name and sometimes they know what you want to eat before you do.

My only complaint is the lack of name tags. I don't remember names very well and when you go some place as often as I go to Rudy's, o feel like I should know everyones' names. Can I get a little help here?

Carry on, Rudy's! Best BBQ in the great State of Texas.

Always love Rudys. Go with the moist and you won't be disappointed. Ironically the Round Rock location charges for jalapenos? Odd. Manager tossed me a couple of freebies as I didn't realize you had to pick em up at the potatoe salad cooler to add to checkout.
