My partner and I had a wonderful experience buying wedding bands at this store. We spoke with Jimmy, and he helped us navigate the whole process and patiently listened to us describing what we needed, in terms of style, size, and price. He helped us figure out how to get the rings when they were ready, since we don’t live in Chicago. He made sure that the order was placed on time, and in four days the rings were ready. They were then shipped to our home address. Polite, efficient, and helpful. Thanks, Jimmy!

Everyone at James & Sons are always so helpful and friendly! Great service, beautiful shop and selection. I come here for all my jewelry needs - cleaning, repair, appraisals, too. Highly recommend!!

We could not be happier with our J&S experience!

First, we came in to look at rings earlier this year. I didn't know what to expect and was worried that it'd feel more like a pushy sale than a romantic experience for my girlfriend and I. But our experience with Teena at J&S could not have been better! Teens is an undeniable professional. She made us both at ease in the experience, guiding us through a fun and comfortable tour of all the various shapes, settings, metals, and colors. Teena never asked about budget or pushed the selection of one ring, she delivered a very special experience and sweetly promised my girlfriend that she and I would take care of the rest. 

A few weeks later, just Teena and I looked at a number of options based on the notes and preferences from our initial visit. She explained pricing and attributes in an easy and understanding way, never pushing me outside my comfort zone. My opinion (and what my gf had discussed) was all that mattered. 

The ring is perfect. It personal and specific to what we wanted. We trust in the quality of the stones and setting. And it wouldn't have been this perfect without the great experience we had with Teena. 

Thank you, Teena! We can't wait to work with you on our wedding bands!

I've just moved from Canada and was looking to find a jeweller that I can trust with my engagement ring and build an ongoing relationship with! They welcomed me and had my ring fixed in no time... the staff are amazing and very helpful. I had also my husband's ring that has a broken precious stone... even though they don't work with that specific stone, they offered to research it for me and guide me into how to get it fixed! Couldn't ask for more! Love them!

My family has conducted business at James and Sons with the Sunderlands starting back in the Calumet City location for over 35 years and there is a reason for that. Their personal and professional integrity from the family members to the employees are the best in the business. Their attention to detail is bar none.  They treat every customer the same no matter if they are spending  a few hundred dollars or thousands of dollars.

In the past, without hesitation, I have recommended James & Sons to anyone looking to purchase, repair or appraise jewelry and will continue to do so. 

James & Sons is my one stop shop when purchasing anything jewelry related for any occasion.
