When buying a pair of shoes, the final price included sales tax. I explained that MN does not charge sales tax on clothing including shoes. The young cashier had no authority to try to change it. We went to an older cashier at a different location and it again totaled charging sales tax. She then applied a discounted price lower than the original price of the shoes for us. JCPENNEY needs to fix the glitch in the system - hence the 4 star rating. Thank you, cashier for the lower price!

Tracy in Sephora color-matched me and gave me a makeover that looked like I had an immediate facelift. She was fabulous and I’ve never seen my face look so flawless! Amazing customer service!

I was ready to purchase several items at the River Hills Mall store today....when I took them to the counter, and the cashier told me one of the items was MORE than what the sign said it was....I politely said "No. This is on sale for $14.99" Her response was "Go look at the sign". Her attitude and tome of voice was enough to drop all my merchandise and walk out! Before I DID....I went back to where the "sign" was to verify the price....and I was right. I walked back to the cashier and said "The price is $14.99. Next time YOU need to check the price" I walked out without making any purchases! This is the 2nd time I have had HORRIBLE customer service at JC Penny in the past 2 months. Could be a good indication why I don't shop there more often!!
