Staff is friendly

If you could give a no star these people would get it , this is the worst place in pine bluff takes forever to speak to someone had me on hold 20 minutes than they be very rude smdh I'm glad I don't have to deal with them anymore

I guess I have no room to complain since I don't pay for my services BUT I am pretty unsatisfied with the Jefferson County Health Department. When I call, it takes forever for someone to answer, if they answer. The people seem to be pretty rude to me over the phone and in person (most of the time). The floors tend to be pretty sticky and gross and so are the bathrooms. It takes far too long to get called to the back. Almost 2 hours is too long to have to sit and wait just to pick up some birth control or get a reading from the nurse, which only takes about 5 minutes. I think if they could pick up the wait time to being about 30 minutes as apposed to 2 hours I would be a lot more satisfied. I do have other things to do than just sit and wait. That is all.

Not the fanciest of places. The floor is sticky, the children run wild, and the television is always on a generic health channel that replays the same segment over and over again; like a never-ending health-nut Twilight Zone episode. They don't always answer the phone and if they do, you'll probably get "disconnected". They fail to send out appointment reminders; not even so much as a friendly phone call. The examination rooms are small and sort of uncomfortable, and my butt hangs out of the impossibly tiny paper gowns. But, for a free clinic, I can't very well complain too much. As an uninsured female, I cannot afford much better. They supply me with free birth control pills, STD check-ups, and all the free condoms and VCFs I could ask for (or not...) And of course, a healthy dose of folic acid. They get the job done...eventually.
