Jerry’s was an overall great grocery experience. The fresh food made there is incredible, and the portions huge. The produce all looked very fresh, and there was good variety. The aisles are spacious and clean. The cheese selection is amazing, the butchers friendly and knowledgeable and their liquor store fully stocked. Most employees go out of their way to be helpful, with the only exception being at the Starbucks counter where the two teenage girls had to finish their conversation before waiting on me and they were not friendly at all. Hopefully that’s not the norm. Also, because Jerry’s is smaller than big name grocery stores the overall selection isn’t quite as big, and the prices on some items were slightly more expensive, which is understandable. However, if you’re looking for a generally friendly, neighborhood store, with fresh, high quality items, this is your place!

I was really excited when Jerry’s came to town a few years ago, but I have to agree with the produce woes some others have reported. I simply don’t go here if I need produce because I have been skunked several times. Most recently the potatoes we bought have brown spots inside them and the strawberries had a moldy one tucked inside. I also don’t go here for things that aren’t super common. For example, I was looking for ranch style beans to make a soup during their first year of opening. Couldn’t find them, but Cub had them. The manager said he would order some in, but they never did. The convenience of being a couple minutes closer just simply doesn’t outweigh the problems I’ve had there.

We've shopped here occasionally for various food needs, but rarely a weekly grocery run. But, a recent bad experience at Super Target had me check out Jerry's, only 3 minutes from our house. Positives: clean! Wide aisles! Great produce section! Great bakery! Enormous variety of food items in all categories! Not crowded, plenty of staff making sure shelves were fully stocked (a real problem with Target). Negative: prices outside of meat and produce are quite a bit higher than your typical Walmart/Target/Cub Foods. (Lower than Kowalski's and Lunds/Byerlys) But if you shop the sale items, you can minimize the extra cost. And the ambience of the store and service makes it worthwhile to me. Overall, a convenient, full-service supermarket.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never seen such old produce. The other day I thought it was safe to buy 'fresh' garlic and an onion. I put them in the same place I always do. Went to cut the onion just now and it's already starting to rot on one side, nice big clove of garlic, no! Moldy inside. A couple of months ago I was going to review the extremely bitter and tough celery that we threw out, yes the entire thing. Potatoes that were half rotting, had to cut away at least half and toss, both the celery and potatoes were purchased for potato salad. Most cashiers are friendly but not so the last time. She was about as indifferent as she could be. We only stop there to mail something or if we need something quick and not produce ever again! Even Walmart has fresher produce! I can't even believe I just typed that but it's true!!! You guys really need to watch your produce or stop buying the second grade stuff.
