I had been using the same insurance company for years. I hadn't compared coverage or rates because I was too lazy. I assumed, wrongly I found out, that I was fully protected because my premiums were to me at least, expensive. That could be and was dangerous for me I have two $1.5 million homes, one is vacant (which most insurance agencies don't want to insure) and for sale, the other I reside in. My cars are a Rolls Royce (which some insurance companies will not insure) and a Toyota. It wasn't until I received my renewal for my cars, which had nearly doubled in price, that I began investigating. I decided to let four agencies bid, three independent and the other State Farm. I also contacted my agency to bid, but received no reply. All four were reasonably close to my residence. Janis Villarreal at this office was wonderful to work with. We exchanged numerous emails and in person discussions trying to sort this out. It became clear that my two homes were so uninsured that it was possible I would be penalized for underinsuring and receive only 30-40% of a loss. Comparing rates and coverage between four agencies was difficult at best, but Janis was worked tirelessly to help. I wish I could state she got all of my insurance needs. She did not, but that's not her fault, State Farm sets the rates. All four bids were very close. But unless the agent is family, this is mainly an issue of cost. Certainly, how you are going to be treated, which is very important, will only be found out when you file a claim. That was the reason I had stayed with my former insurance company since I only had filed one claim with them. It was a large claim when I totaled my Bentley and I was treated quite well. Janis was the lowest on my vacant home. She got that business. The other policies were awarded to another agency. But from now on, I'm going to have several agencies bid each year. This is tiresome, but I think worth the time. Rates and coverage can change greatly every year, and next year, I will go back to Janis. I hope she wins, but again, she does not set the rates, but she can help you determine coverage needs which also can change each year. I have written this long review because I am so impressed with Janis. She is the consummate professional. Give her a chance to bid. You will not be sorry.

I was not pleased with the service I received from a different insurance office so I moved my account relationship to Jim Cochran’s office. That move was one of the best decisions I’ve made because the staff member who helped me clearly was dedicated to providing excellent customer service. She took her time to fully discuss the differences between what State Farm could offer me compared to what I thought I had with the other company. Too often you get staff that just want to rush you to get their commission but she wasn’t just trying to sell me a policy instead she provided me a product that was in my best interest. Thank You!

I had my doubts about State Farm because I'd heard some really bad things about how the corporation reacts to claims. But I thought I'd give Jim's office a try since it was right by where I lived. I honestly can say now that I love Jim Cochran's office. The girls up front that maintain my policy are always more than happy to help me and make changes to my policy as needed. I've had them for about 6 months, and so far it's been a great experience! Good job guys!

I have been a Jim Cochran State Farm customer for 25 Years. Professional Customer service and personal customer care is what Jim's agency is all about His office staff is alway friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make sure your needs are taken care of. The slogan "Like a Good Neighbor State Farm is there" is the way Jim has always handled my account.

Jim Cochran has been my agent thru 21 years and 6 changes in residence. Even when I lived in the Austin area I kept Jim as my agent. I love that when I call his office I don't have to go thru a lengthy explanation of who I am. He and his staff know their clients, their passions, and their concerns and act on any request promptly. They truly are great neighbors!
