We grabbed a light meal before seeing a movie. It was a very warm day so we actually both got poke instead of ramen, but it was good. The service was I alright, they were very nice but very busy.

I've since been back a couple times and have had the ramen and it is fantastic. I definitely recommend trying out.

SO MUCH MORE DELICIOUS THAN PHO. Don't let the fact that they serve Noodle Bowls dissuade you at all. The yummy ingredients make these bowls so much more amazing. And even if bowls aren't your thing, they have sushi sides, spicy tempura shrimp and other great sides that make this a great place to keep trying new dishes or settle into some new favorites. Warning: This place is busy at lunch and dinnertime, and doesn't take reservations. So plan ahead and enjoy.

Oh man.  So good.  The place is usually full of people but we have never had to wait long.  It is worth the wait either way!  The food itself is delivered very quickly.   I have yet to have a bad meal here.

Proper Japanese greetings meet you when you enter Jinya...and that, along with how busy it is, are good signs.
This is an LA based chain...I think it reps well.
My Tokyo Tonkotsu Special ramen ($13) was very good - hot and the toppings were well prepared, especially the tamago (egg).  Gyoza and Takoyaki were solid as well.  But my absolute favorite item was the Crispy Eel with Avocado and Tofu....I think I could eat 2 orders by myself!
Brisk and attentive service, crowded parking lot, crowded restaurant....my favourite chains are Marutama and Santouka...but I'm happy to go here!

We got here, there was a waiting list as usual, but the wait was only about 15 minutes long so it wasn’t much of a problem. The food was pretty good, but maybe a bit small for the price. I really liked the richness of the broth and the nice chewy texture of the noodles. Then we got to the ordering. I wanted a regular ramen but my mom didn’t want anything big so we decided to get a kids meal and a regular JINYA chicken ramen and while I was ordering, she the lady looked at me for awhile and said “You don’t look 12.” But she let me go anyways cause my dad explained that I’m bigger than some other people. So when the food came, my mom and I switched. A few minutes later, the waiter came back to refill our waters, then noticed that we switched. She looked at us for awhile, then asked us while we were doing that. Then she said that she wasn’t supposed to give adults kids meals. I was thinking that if we qualify to order what we wanted and we were going to pay for it, it should be our choice to do what we want with it. This was pretty much the biggest resin for the 3 star review.

In conclusion, my first experience at JINYA was pretty ok I guess. Food, awesome. Atmosphere and looks, great. Attitude, 😐
