My friends and I got together to celebrate two of our birthdays. We didn't know that Joe's Deli doesn't serve breakfast until a later time but only until 10:30 on a Saturday morning. We did arrive just before 11 and even though there were empty tables, they will not seat you because breakfast ended and they now have to prep the kitchen for lunch. We weren't the only ones who thought this practice was a bit out of the ordinary. There were several parties who came in before us and said they couldn't wait any longer to be seated and then left. One had even been told it would be about 5 minutes before they could be seeded and stated that it had been 20 minutes and so they were going elsewhere. My friends and I stayed and I'm glad we did. The food has always been he wonderful experience for me. I can't remember the name of the soup that I had but it's only served on Saturdays and it was actually pretty good and I brought my salad, which was only supposed to be a half portion but was definitely generous enough for me to eat later in the day. My friends and I split a lemon square but I will say that I was not that impressed. When I want a lemon square, I expect it to be tart like a lemon, but that's just me. I was going to take home something from the dessert case but they were so busy I didn't want to wait around 20 minutes just for a slice of cake. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who has time. It might even be best to come during an off time during the week. I have in the past ordered take out which is always a great option if you think to plan ahead and don't want to wait in the crowd for a seat.

I love Joe’s deli. Anything and everything I’ve ever had from here is delicious and consistent. Even the carry out! You could make a whole second Reuben from all the meat they load in your first (I’ve done it). The cranberry chicken salad is a favorite too. The owners are so sweet and everything is super fresh (they’re always busy).

My wife and I love this place. She used here when she was a little girl with her Dad because he delivered coffee to Joe's. Everyone we go it is lively but not overcrowded. Everything I've had there has been excellent. Highly recommended, definitely top 3 diner in Cleveland. If not top

On a Saturday morning arrived at 10 am. There were maybe 8 people there waiting to be seated. Took 20 minutes to get a seat for 6 adults and two children. We're warned maybe be a half hour before could get our food. Everyone around us were served and left before food arrived over an hour later. Food was adequate but will never return for breakfast there. Large facility with many staff yet were treated as if we were a crowd of 20 who were the last priority. What a disappointment.

Although it was lunch time we were there early enough that there was not a wait. Very pleasant young man seated us. Our waitress was phenomenal really really hustling to take care of all the customers at both her tables and at the bar where she was also responsible. Food came quickly was exactly as we ordered tasted wonderful. Jose is not an expensive but the food is good as is the service and the desserts are to die for
