Even after I read the reviews I figured I give it the benefit of the doubt especially being I only have medicaid so my options were slim. However, do NOT go here. All this guy wants is your money. I have a lot of moles and there were a couple I wanted looked at that seemed a little concerning. He didn't ask me which ones I wanted look at, he just went straight to burning two of them off that I didn't even ask to be done. The office is disgustingly filthy and they have all the tools and instruments just laying around on tables with no wrapping on them. He was also rude, he told me I have more wrinkles than him and I'm 30 years younger than him. Very false because I don't have any wrinkles...I've had three kids. He only talked to me about how cancer kills you slowly and next thing you know in ten years your dead. He didn't tell me if any were concerning to him or if I should watch any of them because he said watching won't make it go away. He expects to burn all the moles off me and that will not happen! He's unprofessional, rude, and doesn't help at all. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and still went but all the one star reviews are true! Also my appointment was at 930 and I wasn't called back until 1050. Not worth it at all. Worst doctor I have EVER encountered. He's a prick and a quack. I'm surprised he hasn't had his license taken away. Hopefully the biopsies he did won't hurt me from the dirtiness of the utensils. I was fine until he just assumed I wanted all my moles burned off. Okay, I'm done. Just terrible. Deserves negative stars.

Absolutely the worst "Dr" I have ever been to. He was beyond unprofessional. Doesn't look at your file or even adress you by name. Wasn't even in the room for two minutes before before he was prescribing me a prescription. He cut me off numerous times and was so rude to his nurse. Everything was laid out on an exam table... None of it looked sterile. He told me to stand up so he could exam me for something I wasn't even there for. I walked out and have filed a complaint with the insurance company and better business. I beg you please don't go here even if its your only option.

My adult daughter took my younger teenage daughter to see Dr. Cottam for the first (and only) time. I had called the day before and let them know this would take place. The entire time they waited and while they were in the exam room, my daughters were texting me telling me how horrible the office was, how dirty, no exam table, etc. My one daughter is almost 6 feet tall and had to lie down across 3 folding chairs to be examined because there was no examination table in the room. Then when the doctor came in he was incredibly rude to them and my 16 year old ended up leaving in tears after he told her that she should move to a place where there is no sun and that she would surely die of skin cancer. He tried to do a biopsy on a mole, and I told my daughters not to allow that since I was not present. My daughters were convinced that he is one of the most condescending and rude people they had ever met. We will certainly never return and advise anyone to stay away. We visited a different dermatologist later and found that the mole did not require a biopsy and received the most courteous and thorough treatment ever. Dr. Cottam is horrible and should not be practicing medicine. (I put 1 star only because I could not post with 0 stars.)

I went in for Botox and I was a former patient. He asked me why I didn't tell the receptionist before I came in that I wanted Botox. I told him I did tell them. I felt really rushed and then they charged me 4 bucks to use my credit card after I spent 200 bucks

WARNING!!! Took one of my children into the Bradenton office to get seen for a rash and it was the worst doctors office I have ever been in. They had utensils just sitting out and unsterile! I'm glad we didn't have to use any of them. Dr. Cottam did not look at my child and his rash. His nurse looked at it pre-wrote his scripts and all the doctor did was sign it. Our total visit lasted longer then hour but we only spent 5 minutes with the doctor himself. If I could give him negative stars I would. I will be taking this further then a google review as well!!
