The time and it's no big deal

Wouldn’t it be nice to find a business that would take ownership for its mistakes and do the right thing? While sitting at an intersection on my way to work a Jones Excavating dump truck lost a rock right into my new windshield. I think we can all relate to this story. I thought I would call the company to see if they would do the right thing. I was told by Jones, “it was a road hazard and to call my insurance company.” The likelihood that the rock came from Jones Excavating dump truck is extremely high which they themselves must be aware of considering the nature of their business. The fact that they chose not to do the right thing or even investigate the situation makes me call into question their business ethics. Jones Excavation Co. states on its website “We have always prided ourselves on our customer service.” I guess Jones should practice what they preach, or they have really low expectation of what that means.
