Writing this review on New Year Eve is the least I can do to express my gratefulness to George from Joseph Balkan Inc. I was assigned him through Home Serve because of an indoor plumbing issue with one of our bathroom sinks. George was dispatched to us because the first person assigned couldn’t fix the issue. He stayed at our home for HOURS trying to assess the issue. Once he figured it out, and it was a very challenging one, he left at 1:30am with an understanding of what needed to occur. Although he couldn’t come the next day because of other jobs he stayed in communication with us. Today, Sunday, he arrived at 8:30am and while at times it looked bleak, he kept at it finally opening up the clog of the corroded pipe by 11:15am. He had to have spent at least seven hours on our job between the two days! He didn’t give up and instead of taking the easy way out by tearing out the organizing sections of our vanity to have more space to work or breaking into the wall to simply replace the pipe, he worked and worked tirelessly. He unclogged the drain and for the 12 years we’ve lived in this house I don’t ever think it drained this well! :) Did I mentioned he even cleaned up after himself! This lengthy review is to let any person looking for a dedicated plumber to know that George is your man. It is also to let the owners of Joseph Balkan know that despite all of the calls on George’s sheet, he is dedicated to each job he touches and gives each one 100%. I appreciate Home Serve putting me in contact with your company and will use you for other jobs I may have and recommend you to others. Thank you George and happy new year!

I am rating this company 5 stars. I would rate them 10 if it were a 10 star rating system. My sewer main had collapsed and needed an immediate replacement. Being an HVAC contractor myself, I found them running their crews exactly how I run my crews and my shop. Punctual, professional, honest and did exactly what they said they would do from start to finish. It made living without water or sewer (on and off) for a few days not as bad as you would imagine. Hire these guys. They are well worth the few extra dollars. I also hired a CALL-A-HEAD portable bathroom system for the crews, well worth the $150 per month. There could be up to 10 guys a day working for a few days so the little extra comfort for them was worth it. Great, hard working guys from start to finish!!!

All I have to say they are the BEST.. they made it happened!!! .. Splitting two properties water meters according to many architects and expediters was a mission and the stated I needed new prints , permits etc ..and crazy $$$ . After they got deposit they disappeared. or another issue supposedly came into place. I was totally depress ,that I couldn't find anyone that can be honest , return calls or help me. I decide to "light up a candle and pray at night , woke up and google "sewer and water company " and saw "Balkan" read their reviews and called. I met with Frank amazing guy and very knowledgeable , whom advise me of all my different options that i had in order to accomplished my goal . The price was so cheap compare to all the crook out there, " i didn't need no new prints , no architect like the rest have suggested and taken my $$$ since it was a preexisting building with water running already... I thank Joseph Balkan and his associates for such a wonderful job and for their honesty... I am so happy to get rid of such a headache so grateful to find you guys......

My sewer pipe got clogged and my basement got flooded with toilet water and poop and I called Joseph L. Balkin Inc. Sewer & Water Main specialist and George came to the rescue and came over as soon as he could to help me get my sewer line working again so I can shower and use the toilet. George is resourceful and persistent in getting the job done. He would troubleshoot the sewer line trap, bathroom toilet, shower drain, and laundrey room drain and use different method and techniques to unclogg the sewer pipe. Thanks again George for unclogging my family's sewer pipe.

Our family would give 20 stars if we could! Recently had a pipe blockage and George really came to the rescue. Through trial and tribulations to find out exactly what was wrong, it took some time, but George never gave up on our pipe issue! We are very thankful for the determination and ingenuity to solve our issue because it indeed was a very complex pipe to figure out. If you ever have a problem - George of Balkan is your man to call!
