About

Juan in a Million has been serving some of the best breakfast and lunch in Austin for over 30 years. Stop by for a Don Juan and a powerful handshake!

Story

When Austinites are craving a big, hearty breakfast that doesn’t break the bank, the one restaurant they find themselves returning to time and again is Juan in a Million. We’ve been offering some of the most delicious and affordable meals in Austin for over 30 years, and we’ve always stayed true to our roots. We’ve never changed our menu or recipes, and our service has consistently exceeded our customer’s expectations. After all, there’s no reason to fix something that isn’t broken!

At Juan in a Million, our portion sizes are as generous as our prices! The most famous item on our menu is the Don Juan -- a heaping pile of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and cheese, served over a hot, homemade tortilla. When we say our Don Juan is famous, we mean it! Adam Richman of Man vs. Food took our Don Juan Challenge and, in a rare loss for the host, was only able to finish three before waving the white flag.

In order to win the Don Juan Challenge, you have to break the reigning champion’s record by at least one and all tacos must be finished in one sitting. The current record? Nine Don Juans. What do you get if you win? A free shirt, free meal, your photo on our Wall of Fame, and bragging rights until your record is overthrown!

While we’re best known for the Don Juan, Juan in a Million proudly offers up dozens of other Tex-Mex meals that will leave your taste buds and stomach happy! Our complimentary salsa is packed with Texas heat and pairs perfectly with any of our entrees or tacos. We also offer a nice variety of domestic and import beers and spirits.

The only thing better than our food at Juan in a Million is our hospitality. Our owner Juan is present at the restaurant every day, ready to give you the best handshake you’ll ever have and ask how your day is going. We love to give back to our community who has given us so much over the years, and you’ll feel good knowing that each visit you pay to Juan in a Million is supporting a truly local establishment. We’re looking forward to treating you like family at Juan in a Million.

The breakfast tacos are amazing. The owner comes around to all the tables to check and make sure everything is awesome. He instantly creates a raport with people. You can tell he loves his customers and what he does. The waitstaff is also super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

A great place with a great story. Friendly and fast staff. More than reasonable prices for hearty plates. Great for a bite with the family. Also a fun good challenge if you are interested!

Austin icon. There's nothing spectacular about this place necessarily, but it has a charm to it that I really enjoy. The Don Juan, has nothing extravagant in it, but it doesn't need to. It has your basic eggs, cheese, potatoes, and bacon, and that's all you need. The taco is big enough to split between two people, or will be a solid breakfast for one if you're like me. The salsa served with chips before the meal is pretty good actually, with good flavor and a nice solid spicy kick. I recommend putting a heap of it in your Son Juan. You might just run into Mr. Juan himself when eating in, who is full of energy and very welcoming.

I went here based on a recommendation. Within seconds of walking in the door, you are greeted with a booming "Hello! How are you doing?!" and the biggest handshake of your life from the owner. He has such a huge and joyful personality, you feel welcomed immediately. The waitresses were quick and friendly. I had my food in absolutely no time. I went for the famous Don Juan. It's HUGE. It's nothing crazy as far as ingredients go, but it's delicious and very cheap ($6). Upon leaving I received another huge handshake and a hug. I left this place very full and smiling from ear to ear.

The "Don Juan" certainly lives up to its name of "Taco Grande," as it could easily be split between two (maybe even three!) people. They'll give you as many tortillas as you ask for, so I would recommend getting four or five along with your meal. Well worth the money I paid!
