I've been in this bakery once or twice. The cakes are nice but I am turned off by the customer service. It's a deal breaker for me with any establishment. I had contacted the store two days ago and the girl told me a specialist would contact me to take my order. The specialist never contacted me. When I am willing to pay $120+ for a specialty cake, I expect prompt service.

They are so amazing. I came in at 8am when they opened and grabbed one of the amazing premade cakes and they put exactly what i wanted on it, and it wasn't something simple either haha. They made it look epic and was so awesome. I couldn't have been happier.

personally feel as this place is very over priced and the cakes are not that great. I have shopped at homestyle bakery for years which is the mother to Julia and you would think she would be as tasty. well NOPE! there cakes are cold from refrigeration which makes them very dry.
STOP KEEPING THEM COLD BECAUSE THEY ARE DRY AND HARD!
HOMESTYLE IS HER MOTHER AND THEY TELL US DONT PUT IN THE FRIDGE AS IT DRIES THEM OUT.

I had a lot better for a lot cheaper. It wasn't good at all. I expected the cakes to be really delicious, they were entirely too sweet. I ordered a strawberry chocolate ganache $7.99. I expected strawberries on the top under the ganache but it was just a supersweet flavorless thick white icing, I was very disappointed. Then I ordered a strawberry petite four $4.99, way to sweet as well. I ordered a raspberry cream cupcake $3.49 that was delicious. Needless to say I will not waste my money there again.

I've been going to this bakery for years, when someone asks for a recommendation for a cake I have always suggested Julia's. After tonight's experience, I will NOT!!! I work in customer service and I am appalled at how the older lady with short hair treated me. I asked for the chess squares, I'm not a fan of any corner piece so I asked for 2 center pieces. For $2.50 each I should be able to have whatever piece I would like especially considering there was a fresh pan sitting there. She totally ignored my request and grabbed 2 pieces that had been sitting there ALL day already wrapped up in paper. She knew I was not pleased by the obvious look on my face, never once did she ask. I didn't look at these pieces of chess square until I got home because I was so upset and frustrated. Well..... when I unwrapped the paper I have 2 of the smallest corner pieces that are so dried up and flakey that I do not have an appetite to eat. So I know tomorrow's "fresh batch" is from today, since this lady refused to serve them to me. I will not be returning back to this bakery nor will be recommending it to anyone else. I can find somewhere else to spend my money where it's appreciated.
