Dr. Epley is _so good_... He has corrected my daughter's strabismus. Her eyes are now perfectly aligned. He recommended Vision Therapy for her and referred me to a specialist. Not knowing about Vision Therapy and finding that my insurance didn't cover a significant portion of the costs, I researched independently and found a bunch of web sites that seemed to indicate that Vision Therapy was completely non-scientific and just an opportunity for some people to profit off of parents' hopes. In a lengthy conversation with Dr. Epley, I probed deeper on his recommendation and found that while Vision Therapy _for correcting learning disabilities_ is non-scientific, but for helping with actual physical eye/brain disconnects it is quite scientific and measurable. He made it clear that he and our Vision Therapist will work in conjunction with one another, quantifying progress. Once my girl gets binocular vision back, we can stop with Vision Therapy (and the expense of it), and we should expect to actually see progress in three or four months with a course of treatments of roughly ten months. Anyway, Dr. Epley took great care of my concerns and great care of my daughter's eyes, and he's very much deserving of my first on-line review of a doctor.
