Went to Kalahari this past weekend, and will be definitely going back. Customer service was beyond excellent. The rooms were clean. The food was not as expensive, but you are welcome to bring your own food in your room. My kids had so much fun. Kalahari is huge! and there are tons of things to do. I really enjoyed my stay. We had so much fun, we are already planning our next stay with Kalahari!

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we were upgraded to a Royal African Queen Suite. 2 bedrooms, a jet tub, fire place, balcony. Incredibly nice, especially considering we originally booked the cheapest room we could. The room itself was spotless and the beds very comfortable. The water park is fun and their outdoor hot tub is especially nice in cold weather. The dining was excellent as well and priced right around what you would expect for a resort. We will definitely be visiting again in the warmer months to see the outdoor portion.

Water park was awesome. If kids is under 48inches they are required to wear life jacket regardless of their ability to swim. They do provide life vest that are okay quality. We had purchased vests at Costco. Much nicer and more comfortable for kids kids. Theme park was great. If kids are under 2 they are free, although very restrictive on rides. To do anything fun kids needs to be 42 to 44 inches or more. Otherwise there are only a few rides they can do. Go carts are fun, kid needs to be 42inches to ride with adult. Be sure to pickup 10 or 20 dollar arcade passes at the gift shop desk inside arcade. This gives you unlimited games,that do no spit out tickets, for a day or your trip, respectively. The arcade is not Kalahari,it is a separate company that rents. They do a great job and are very friendly.

This resort is so close to perfection. With a small bit of training of the staff, the feeling guests get could be “over the top” amazing. My perception is that Kalahari hires great people but does not train them on the finer points of customer interactions and positive attitudes. If management spent a few minutes each day coaching staff on how to “wow” their guests, this place could blow customer’s minds. Checking in at the front desk is the best example. There were nearly 20 employees at the front desk and they mostly had their heads down focused on their work instead of greeting guests in line with the best of attitudes. They are missing an opportunity to make families feel super special and make a great 1st impression. On a cleanliness note, they are right on the verge of becoming a worn out dump. This complex is going to need some serious money spent to make it top notch again. Everything is showing signs of aging and if the management doesn’t get their hands around it, this place is going to become a ghost town at the expense of competitors who have the fresh updated facilities. All that being said, the average profile of guests here are middle aged adults with middle aged children who LOVE the experience of an indoor entertainment Mecca. If Kalahari staff remembers that their guests “pay the bills” and if the staff treats each guest with amazing customer service, they will be a thriving, vibrant attraction for years to come.

Rooms are big and clean the whole resort is a kid's paradise. The indoor water park has a lot of features for kids from 1 to 60. The theme park is a great time for all. There are several snack shops that gave delicious foods. There are also a few restaurants there that are terrific. The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. Definitely a great stop for everyone.
