Great place in town to meet for lunch. So many shops and choices, as well a nice open airy feeling. Always good for a walk on the cold or hot days when you can go from building to building on the skywalk. Staff always seems to keep the area clean, which is no small task.

For a smaller off the path food court, this one is a good mix of styles and prices. Worth a look if you're hungry.

I'm giving it 4 stars for the food court/ other food options available. It has the best budget friendly lunch options available downtown.

Ahhh yes.. the once great and now fallen K @ the hub. In 8 years I've witnessed dozens of businesses, some were staples, some just hopeful start ups, come and sadly close up. the hub, and the skywalks businesses are a fickle pickle, ( no pun intended), for as an ex business owner of two i owned ( NOT in the hub just to be clear), i KNOW from experience, trial and error, sink or swim, what it is to rise, then fade away.. it IS, heartbreaking.. soul shattering, and SCARY. There are still mind you, many excellent eateries, a few clothing outlets, banks and Burger King still in the hub and it is a pleasurable area to just go explore, take in a frozen yogurt treat, shop for Hawks and 🌀 Cyclones apparel, grab a bragging rights Chi Town hot dog for not much $$$ so i cannot say it shouldn't be looked into. The 'HUB' is still alive and doing well and i tip my hat 🎩 to the biz owners who made it go in it's glory days and who are still satisfying customers, shoppers, old & new. There are comfy benches to relax on, FREE WI-FI, great people watching, and if/when you go, do NOT leave without going to PALMERS DELI!! They have the BEST sandwiches, salads, sides, pastries in Des Moines, and excellent service with a smile ☺. In closing, it's a downright shame that soooooo many long time stores in the HUB have had to close up, but then again, they offered exceptional fare and goods to thousands of patrons for many years who will never forget them... MYSELF included :)
