Bought all new appliances just under 2 years ago from Karl's. My range cooling fan just failed and while factory warranty expired after 12 months, I had Karl's service come and replace it. Technician showed up with new cooling fan and installed. After paying the technician for the work, I began reviewing the invoice. Karl's charges $92.95 just to show up and parts and labor are all on top of that. The $92.95 does include a half hour of labor which means they still charge $47.95 just to show up. When I called to discuss, Raymond was very short and talked like he was reading from a script. No care for my issue. I've checked around and the going rate for appliance repair seems to be closer to $75/hr not the $90/hr Karl's charges. On top of that, many other repair companies have a minium to show up but once the repair is done, they just charge you for parts and labor. This is why I will NOT be using Karl's for any future service repair nor buy any future appliances from them again.

I didn't shop around a lot - so maybe I was overcharged, but Karl's got me a washer and dryer in my house, the very next day. I stopped in, spoke to a sales rep, got a bunch of signatures handled and next day I have a lovely washer and dryer set in my basement, installed, ready to go. I even called the day of delivery to switch to an electric dryer instead, and they switched it out and refunded the difference that same day. Seriously - NO HASSLE. They explained everything crystal clear, from the warranty, to the costs and fees. I had a great experience with Karl's.

I bought my home new in 2014. All of my appliances came from Karl's. In less than 3 years the microwave, stove and dishwasher all failed. I recently replaced the broken 2 1/2 year old dishwasher from Karl's with another upgraded model (supposedly on sale) from Karl's. The brand new dishwasher failed on the very first load after being installed. It leaked water into my kitchen, living room and into the lower level (4 appliances from Karl's that failed, all less than 3 years old and one was even brand new). Here is the lesson that Karl's needs to learn when you have a customer who has had 3 previous appliances from your store go bad, maybe you should make sure the 4th one works. Don't tell a customer who has a 4th broken appliance from your store that has leaked water all over that it will take 2 days to get a service guy out to your house to pull it out so you can clean up behind it. Don't try and sell an appliance to a customer who has already had a bad experience with your business an appliance that's "on sale" when he can find it for $50 less than your sale price. When a customer calls in about a defective, damaging product, don't pass them around to 5 different people. Finally, it's very interesting how the sales person was all about being available when taking my $700 for the dishwasher but was nearly impossible to get ahold of when I was wanting a refund after the thing failed after not even being in my home for a business day.

If you can actually find someone to help you, they are good. I've had multiple occasions where I leave there store frustrated after half an hour and I haven't even gotten so much as a hello from any of the sales people.
