I have never written a bad review online about any company because I believe that people are much more eager to propagate negativity rather than positivity. However, if any company has ever deserved a bad review it's Kay Jewelers. My beautiful, kind, thoughtful, hard-working mother purchased a rather expensive watch as a birthday gift for me and I was absolutely in love, but the wrist band had to be adjusted so I didn't wear it and didn't notice the defects this "brand new" watch had. Firstly, the face of the watch was slightly scratched in three different areas, secondly and most importantly the watch DID NOT WORK. Yes, you read that right...a "brand new watch" from a very reputable company (Movado) was not working. Thirdly (and this is a very important point that should never be overlooked) the watch did not come with the protective plastic film that even the most inexpensive watches are sold with. Immediately upon noticing we took the watch to the store to have it either replaced or refunded. The "manager" said she did not have another watch to replace it with and since my mother had paid cash the company would have to send a check to the original purchasing address. In other words: they couldn't replace it or refund it. It is ridiculously absurd that a jewelry store would not have sufficient cash to refund cash-paid items. I proceeded to contact the Customer Service Corporate Headquarters and after speaking to an incredibly incompetent and rude representative for over 25 minutes I was hung up on. Upon calling the company back the young lady who attended the phone laughed (literally) when I told her that I had been hung up on. Walmart has better customer service. I will be contacting my local better business bureau facility. This company has lost mine, my mother's, sisters and any close relatives' future business, congratulations Kay Jewelers on your ineptness and horrendous service.

I had an amazing experince here, i was greeted like royalty all my needs were attended too and i left the store feeling like not only have i gained an amazing piece of jewelery but a memory that will last a lifetime.

My husband bought my engagement ring back at the end of December. After two months two of the stones of my ring fall off, thing that I found very strange since I take good care of my ring by taking off every time I take a bath, wash my hands and when I wash the dishes. Therefore, I asked the young lady that was im the store why was that within 2 months the stones fall off and she did not know what to tell me she just said that probably because of the cluster design of the center stones caused the stones to fall off and I was like if my husband would have known that because of the cluster design of the center stones of the ring will cause the stones to fall off he wouldn't even buy it nor anyone else. Then, two weeks ago I was in Tampa, since I am no longer living here; however I go here because I kinda trusted the store and was where my husband bought the ring, so I was let me stop by and clean my rings Ann I believe is her name (the only one nice there) she checked the ring and the stones and told me we have to leave the ring because the stones are losen and I was like how come this ring has 9 months of being bought and is the second time I have to leave it because of the same issue, anyways I left the ring and she gave the copy to pick up the ring. I went yesterday sep 22 around 7:40 pm which was the date of guaranteed delivery of my ring, I go there I waited to be assisted and the young man asked me what I needed didn't even greeted to me and I was with the copy of the receipt and told him that I was picking up my ring he was looking and looking and didn't found the ring, so he asked me did you received a call to pick up the ring and I told him no I didn't all the previous times I have left my ring here you never guys have called me telling me is here I only come the date the receipt says is ready and is always here. So he then went to the computer and find out that my ring was received but they returned back on Tuesday sep 20 because the stones were still loose, I was are you serious I honestly couldn't belive how unprofessional this is they sent the ring because of that and then is returned with the same issue how come that happens. He didn't even fond out the white copy to tell me when the ring was comming back and I was how come you guys never call me to notify me that my ring waa returned and it was going to take longer then he was like the person giving the calls that day call I was likee she did not I wouldn't be here If I would have received a call I never did and that pissed me off because O don't live in Tampa anymore and they are so disrespectful unconsidered and do not even notify costumers what is going on. He didn't understand what was going neither he apologized for that. Horrible place super unprofessional do not even buy your ring here because you will always wait for more than two weeks when something is wrong with it. Save your self sour moments with these unprofessional people and entity. I simply left very unsatisfied and beyond disappointed with the way they handled the situation.

Beware of this store's policies. I made a small purchase with cash of just 270.00. After just two days, when I wanted to do a return, they told me, " sorry we do not keep cash in the store". If I in fact wanted to return my item they would have corporate send me a check. Seems to me that by making it difficult to get your cash back they discourage you returning your item.
