Poor Customer service. Engagement set we bought was never inspected with HD camera which will point out any flaws. Another  Kays store told me they are suppose to do. Retail Value on ring was over 4,000.
I returned set and bought set at another store. 

Second issue : Bought my daughter a ring for her 16th birthday with diamonds. Husband and her took ring in for 6 month inspection only to be told it was not under warranty. I had to search my paper work and find warranty (which I found). When I called to confirm this was told employee may have missed it on computer. Really?????

This place is awesome! I needed my ring cut off in a hurry, and they were so quick and calm with me when I was freaking out. Their customer service was great today, and on a usual basis. This Kay's is where my husband purchased my rings and they have been so helpful at every trip. I would definitely recommend them!

In July, I bought a ring. It was $200. It was going to be used as my wedding ring. I didn't want something expensive for fear of losing it due to my past with jewelry. When I was called to pick it up, I was so excited that it was finally ready, after it took way longer than I was told it would. When I put it on, I pulled it off so my husband could take a look before walking out of the store and it smashed together and when bending it back, the bottom was broke in half. I was so mad and upset. In other words, I left in tears. Although I was getting a new fixed ring, I was still upset that I had waited so long for something that was just going to break. Here it is, 5 months later and guess what? The new ring It was replaced with is broken on the bottom. I have had cheap fake rings for years that are still together and look new that have no signs of wear and tear. That's sad. I will NEVER return to Kay Jewelers and I will lead other customers away as well. Something as special as a wedding ring, no matter the price you pay should last for a long time. I've only had mine for 5 months. I don't even wanna get it fixed at this point. Thanks Kay. I really appreciate it.

Took my engagement ring into this location on January 14 to have a diamond taken out of my future mother in laws ring into another band. Paid for this service in full and upfront as they advised. Their promise date was January 30. I have not heard from them and decided to come into the store to pick up the ring as they promised it would be ready. After waiting a few minutes the manager apologized that due to the snow last week they are behind and ring will not be ready and available until Wednesday, February 3. I am completely dissatisfied with the service we paid for. Our plans for our pictures to be taken are ruined due to the ring not being ready as they promised. Seems they are not trying to hard to get my ring there as soon as possible and I am just sitting by the phone waiting for their phone call again. In hopes more people review these stores. Had I known I would have taken my business somewhere else.
Very upsetting and extremely disappointed with this company. As big as they are, you would think they would have better customer service.  I rate them very poor and we will not be back to see them.

Absolute idiots. They are better suited as Wal-Mart cashiers than Jewelry professionals. One moron decided to TAPE the battery down inside my $700 watch with clear Scotch tape!  This destroyed the gears. On my second trip in, the second idiot didn't have any idea why it stopped working. She suggested I pay to let them send it off and wait 8 weeks. I had to take it to a real repair shop to find out about the tape. I am paying $85 to have it disassembled and fixed. Kay Jewelers refuses to take responsibility and pay for the repair. Do not ever buy anything here! Hell, don't even let them touch your stuff.
