KazuNori | The Original Hand Roll Bar
"We believe that the experience of eating hand rolls is truly something special and worthy of its own restaurant, so we created KazuNori — The Original Hand Roll Bar.® At KazuNori, our commitment to quality is unwavering, just as it is at SUGARFISH. We serve only the freshest fish, along with specially harvested seaweed, housemade sauces, and our signature warm rice. KazuNori is the first restaurant of its kind, and we think that eating one of our just-made hand rolls, with its crispy nori, warm rice, and delectable ingredients, will redefine what you think about sushi."

The manager is rude. He prefers to talk to others rather than Asians. I’ve been to the restaurant several times. To be honest, the hand roll is good, especially the rice, delicious. However, the most recent time, there was a strange smell about the seaweed outside of the hand roll, which made my stomach running. I should have rated it one star, but for all the kindness, I give it two stars.
Hand roll or temaki restaurant, which ai ordered for lunch take out. They serve in a nice paper lunch box with all the sauce. It is pretty convenient and delicious. The staffs are very friendly, and the food is served quite quickly upon order.
We meant to try this place the last time that we were in town but ran out of time. So glad that we tried it this time. There is limited counter seating and they move you quickly. They won’t seat you until everyone in your party is there so keep that in mind. This is not the place for leisurely dining. To speed things up, you can pick up the menu and start thinking about why you want to order. The lady in front of me had bottled water while she waited. Not sure if you can have beer or sake too. We ended up getting 4 hand rolls as we were hungry but not that hungry. I ordered toro fatty tuna, hamachi yellow fin, a bay scallop and lobster. They were all good but the lobster and scallop stood out. They only serve handrolls so if you like starters or are aren’t into sushi then this may not be the place for you. Staff is super friendly and can make recommendations based on your preference or if you’re not familiar with the menu selections.
This sushi restaurant focuses on freshly made hand rolls. The minimalistic menu can be underwhelming, but they seem to focus on quality over quantity. The intimate, bar-style seating enhances the experience. I'll be back.Food: 4/5
If you're Asian, be prepared before visiting this restaurant as you may meet an uncaring manager. The waitstaff were friendly, and the food was above average overall. However, the seaweed did not taste right today and I felt unwell after eating it. The manager's attitude was weird. We asked for the check three times in front of him, but he didn't respond. Extra plates were left on the table for a long time without being cleaned up. In the end, he only cleared it because the other table's dishes needed to be cleared as well. I can't say for sure if this is discrimination, but I could clearly feel that I was being ignored. Being forced to pay a 16% tip for such service is truly disappointing.
It's a good value for what it is! Though I wish they had more accommodating seats for people like me with a larger tush but the 4 stars is not because of that. The food tasted great for a majority of the pieces and we were seated fairly quickly. Some pieces I wish gave more context before serving so we knew what they actually were instead of them saying verbatim what the rolls name was. Yes we could have asked but it just would have been nice. Just a personal preference. Staff were courteous and never rude. Some of our water glasses were however stained with lipstick on it and it was fairly apparent too. My wife almost drank from it if I hadn't mentioned it to her. It was rectified quickly with a new glass. Overall experience wasn't bad but it does not deserve a 5 because we have had better elsewhere.
The hand rolls are excellent, the pacing and delivery ideal for chatting with a friend as food appears on the mat in front of you. The chef/assembler/roller, deftly places warm rice in the seaweed, flattens, places the filling and folds, delivering to someone sitting at U shaped Bar. The $15 three roll special is a great deal! My only gripe is, as a vegetarian, there is only a cucumber roll, which I greatly enjoyed! If there was an avocado roll or the Japanese potato roll as vegan, I would love this place! Still, the ladies loved it and I enjoyed eating with them. The Scallop and Crab roll were generous and received rave reviews!
Delicious food served as fresh as possible. Unique because it has cold sushi a variety of fish with warm rice in a roll that is easy to handle, made just for you. No emphasis on fancy presentation just simplicity efficiency, deliciousness, and speed. Lines can be very long and the wait is unpredictable.Food: 5/5
Can’t get enough of this place!! Go on the earlier side on a week night to have no wait! It’s a sushi bar that only sits about 20 people so it fills up quick. Good thing the food comes out fast so there’s a quick rotation. You get an option to order a group of 3, 4, 5 or 6 rolls at a very decent price. I usually get the 4 along with a sashimi option. It always the best hand rolls I’ve ever had! This place will change the way you feel about sushi if you’re on the fence about it!
Sushi is always fresh and delicious. Could spend all day here. Just be prepared for still seating that can be tightFood: 5/5
