sorry 2 say but it’s tasteless and they gave me a wrong ordered .. not the same Taiko - I used 2 go ..the one by El Segundo
I forgot to take the photos of the curry chicken katsu and special combo that has unagi don and hot soba. They were good, but not great. I thought the curry was the curry you can buy at the Asian grocery store, SB brand. The chicken katsu was normal, fried with the tempura batter. The unagi over the rice was usual, just an eel with a sweet sauce smothered under. The soba was probably the best because the soup base was not too salty, like in most other places. I could actually taste the flavor of the stock. The dining room was clean. But the servers were talking loudly in Japanese, which I thought was a bit odd in a Japanese restaurant. They normally whisper when customers are eating. The restaurant is located on the third floor. There is no validated parking. This place is just average for me.
I’ve been coming here for years, the staff is great. The food is great. Best rolls I’ve had and extremely fresh. Love Taiko.
Great place for Sushi in Brentwood. Easy parking 1 hour for 2 bucks 2 hours for 3. I had a lunch Bento. All varieties were prepared well; the sashimi was fresh and perfectly cut. The bento came with salad and miso soup as well. I recommend Taiko!
My first order today 10/5/21. I was a bit high maintenance lol. The food was excellent & fresh, & they accommodated every special request & it was a Grubhub delivery! I’ll def order again!! Delicious!!
Low rating primarily because of the service. Order for pickup took over an hour to prepare. I was quoted 30-40 mins on the phone because their online ordering was down. Sushi was ok. Salmon, eel, and shellfish were good. Yellowtail and tuna were underwhelming.
This is my favorite Japanese restaurant on the West Side! Service is excellent, food is delicious! The only downside is that parking is valet only.
Seafood udon, rolls, salads are really good.Recommended dishesSpicy Yellowtail Roll, Mixed Green Salad and Miso Soup, Salmon Skin Roll
My three year old loves this place and so do I! We first started coming for happy hour and would walk out of there for less than $20. It was amazing. We love the service and the kid-friendly atmosphere, hello kitty plates are always a crowd pleaser. We usually get the $15 special and split it, tons of food and good soba noodles. Now we are moving away and will miss them! Thanks to Taiko for two years of yummy food.
Excellent and authentic. Not too pricey especially for this area. Very good udon! Recommend Nabeyaki udon. The niku don beef rice bowl is also a delicious choice. Good for kids and families, too! They serve kids food in little Hello Kitty plates and bowls.
