Absolute gem of a place for authentic Indian street food. Usually busy, staff is polite, place is clean. It's not the 'go to a fancy dinner with ambience kinda place', more like a regular Indian eatery you stop by for a quick bite. Must go to if you are in the area.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
100 types of Paratha's to choose from and even if that's enough make your own choosing 5 toppings. The Paratha's are super delicious and chat is very tasty too . Staff is very quick and friendly. Thank you for making our family dinner outing amazing!
This is one of the best fast food center in Edison NJ They have over 100 Paratha’s in the menu and on top of it, you can choose to customize your own paratha with atleast 5 stuffings. Also tried chaat, Tokri chaat and thats the best of all. Spicy and sweet, fresh with all the sprouts. Must try this restaurant if you are on oak tree. Dont forget sabudana vada as well.
I’m writing this as a common review for both the Iselin and East Windsor Khasiyat locations, as everything is excellent and standard when it comes to the quality/taste of the food and the customer service. Haven of Parathas - that’s how I’d like to call this place. They have numbered their variety of parathas from 1-100 that you can literally play a game of closing your eyes, pointing your finger randomly over a point on the menu card and order that number of paratha. We usually order couple of parathas and a chaat item whenever we visit a Khasiyat. Hands down, they have the best parathas in town. How could someone consistently make the best parathas when they have a large array of choices to pick from?! They are business smart and environment friendly when it comes to the plates and cups they use. They don’t give your dishes in porcelain or plastic but they use hard paper/wood material that’s easy for them to dispose. But the downside is the size of those plates or cups. You have a very small circumference to work through your hands on the dishes and it’s not an ideal experience when you eat. I’m not sure if this will reach the business for them to consider and improve but this is the reason I rate this place a star lesser.
With the old Dimple now closed, Khasiyat is our go-to destination for Mumbai / Indian vegetarian street food. Service is Spartan and focused on efficiency. Parathas are incredible. We usually go for pav bhaji, chhole bhatore, and dahi batata puri as well. I personally love the falooda. Place gets crowded, even after they expanded. Parking lot is usually full - use the municipal parking on the other side of Oak Tree Rd.
Must eat :Tokri Chat Don’t forget to eat the tokri On of the phenomenal taste of parathas that I have eaten after a long time. We ordered chilli cheese paratha and panner onion paratha Chola Bathura - Just ok Chocolate milk shake - again being a home chef it’s pretty easy to make
Services was quick, and food was made to order. Their chat and bhel etc. are really good but their Parathas are ok. I wish they had chai on the menu.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
We had alu onion and gobi onion parathas here. Those parathas were authentic, and more importantly, delicious. I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for Indian style parathas in the United States.
My favourite place for indian paratha any day anytime! My favourite is number 92 & 96 paratha and khasta kachori! They have yum Sitafal milkshake and rose falooda. Service can varies depends on when and where you go. Usually its good at East Windsor location compare to Oak tree road, Edison location. They stop allowing people to dine in after 9 even though online it shows it closed at 930, which was little rude on face.
Update 11/2021: Food is generally marginal typical mildly disabled Indian fare. There's lots of variety but the buck stops there. That being said the chana dal in the thali is very good. People claiming this is the best parantha in New Jersey I haven't really had a real one so keep your expectations tempered. The aloo parantha is absolutely tasteless while the pav bhaji was barely recognizable in flavor. BTW do not make the mistake of ordering the masala Pav Bhaji. They have a value oriented thali but south Indian is for namesake. Their chaat is okay. For better pav bhaji go to Dimple's unfortunately this gem shut down FYI, they take reservations by phone. Don't expect customer service.
