Story

Kilgore Small Animal Hospital is a pet care clinic that offers medical care and nutritional support for pets throughout the greater Kilgore region. We offer regularly scheduled health checks, emergency surgeries, and any other type of care that your pets require. We have been proudly serving pet owners throughout the Kilgore region since 1974. Dr. Ray began practicing veterinary care in 1981 and has steadily expanded Kilgore Small Animal Hospital throughout the surrounding community. Backed by more than 30 years of experience in the veterinary field, our team excels in providing personalized care for all kinds of household pets. We are contributing members of local emergency veterinary clinics in Longview and Tyler and have served on the board of directors for several local emergency clinics. We are familiar with all the most effective veterinary treatments in the field of pet care.

This vet is the worst place ever to take your animals to. The doctor and staff is rude as hell. And they don't care about your animal at all and the doctor don't know what he is doing cause he said my animal had a decease that she didn't have. I paid for another opinion and found out she didn't have what he said she did. He just wants to look at a dog and yell that she has a decease without doing any test.  And then wants to treat you like you have a decease too. And the prices is crazy. I am talking to someone about making him pay me back my money that I paid him for lying to me about my dog. 
 He is suppose to know before you yell out they have a decease he needs to test them not just look in their eyes. What a dumbass doctor he is.

Dr. Ray and his staff are very compassionate and caring. Your pet's health and wellness are at the forefront of the concerns. Everyone is so nice and helpful.

We absolutely love Kilgore Small Animal Hospital, such a very lovely hospital clinic for Our Furbabies!!
My furbabies love their Dr. Ray and the vet techs too. Such an awesome , Amazing , caring vet and does everything to take care of our furbabies to see they are doing well.

My young adult cat was very ill so I took her to see Dr Ray. They were kind enough to work her in because we had never been there before. Dr. Ray was able to find the problems with her mostly on the physical exam and didn't order a load of unnecessary tests. The physical exam was very thorough. The vet tech Jennifer was amazing and meticulously practiced  infection control technique until Dr Ray ruled out a contagious disease.  They were both as gentle as possible with her. She is recovering well with their treatment. I am very pleased with them in every regard and I will use them for all of my pets from here on.

My dog just loves to go to vet. She gets all excited when we pull up. I have to put her leash on in the car because she will just take off running when open car door.. it's Soo funny to watch her lmbo. Thank you Kilgore Small Animal Vet for being there for my dog Angel who is a dachshund.
