Story

At Kleen-N-Green, we are dedicated to giving our customers the most thorough and highest quality car wash while maintaining a level of integrity and care for our environment. We care deeply about the adverse effects of using harsh chemicals found in soaps and detergents, the use of oil in cars, and the need for cleaner, greener energy solutions. That’s why at Kleen-N-Green, we have found the utmost in quality products such as zero weight oil by PennZoil, green waxes for cars, and environmentally friendly soaps and detergents from Simoniz.

Kleen-N-Green has also taken the time to make these services accessible to all by keeping generous hours of business both during the week and on weekends, as well as offering special promotions and discounts. We want everyone to feel great about coming to Kleen-N-Green for their car wash services, oil changes, and detailing services.


WHAT MAKES KLEEN-N-GREEN, GREEN?
• We now use water based soaps and detergents by Simoniz- an environmentally friendly alternative to the acid based soaps formerly used here.
• We have invested thousands of dollars in becoming more energy efficient, our first investment was to change all the light bulbs to more expensive, more efficient lighting-as a result we have cut our electric bill IN HALF!
• We have chosen to use Enviro Waste to process our waste oil. They extract the used oil from our retention tank and properly process or burn the waste oil
• We collect hundreds of cans & bottles and they are picked up regularly by recycle trucks
• We sell green products and encourage you to try our green cleaners and air fresheners
• We have replaced leaking nozzles & sprays with more efficient water dispensers throughout the car wash, thereby reducing the water we use by 10%
• We have installed automatic sensors to turn off lights inside & out when not in use
• Our ice melting crystals(for the winter) are made of all green materials, no salt or harmful agents(and it’s a green color too!)

We have replaced the cloth used to Kleen your car with innovative new cloth made from recycled products, the newest technology proven to kleen better!

WHAT WE PLAN ON DOING
• We will crush all used oil filters before disposal, thereby removing traces of waste oil to be disposed of properly
• We will begin installing solar panels next year to further reduce our carbon footprint
• We will burn our own waste oil to be as green as we can



WHAT YOU CAN DO
• The single most important thing a consumer can do to help become more green is STOP WASHING YOUR OWN CAR! Driveway washing wastes a lot of water! We use less than 70 gallons per car here at Kleen-N-Green, a driveway washer can use a thousand!
• Use our MOBIL 1 0W green synthetic oil- we are one of the first in Connecticut to offer this exciting new product-safe for your car and the environment
• Buy and use our green products
• Dispose of your cans and bottles in our recycle containers
