I interned here this summer and I feel very lucky to have been a part of the family here at Krave. I had an absolute blast coaching classes and getting to know all of the Krave Team. The workouts are fast-paced and fun and incorporate strength, striking, agility, and endurance work. The workouts are structured in such a way that allows just about any person of any fitness level to come in and get an awesome workout in. I loved coming to work everyday and seeing the smiling faces and everybody there wanting to work hard, have fun, and get better together. Krave is the place to be!

I've only been once (so far) so 5/5 may be generous, but first impressions are important and they knocked it out of the park.

A little background: I'm 6'1 265lbs and pretty much no muscle mass. That combination has made me really self-conscious, and for years I've been putting off going to the gym.

Appearance: nestled in a strip mall Krave is unassuming from the outside. Inside it's clear they had some serious financial backing. To the right and left were machines/weights while the center was turf with weights, ropes, and heavy bags.

Workout: it's HIT. The first 5 minutes or so is individual stretching. Then we paired up, went outside, and started the first exercise. One partner would spring 50 yards and sprint back while the other did burpies, I think we did 3 sets, followed by a quick 1/4 mile lap. After the lap we were all assigned stations, 2 exercises done b2b per station, 3 sets, rotate. 

Overall: great first experience. If you sign up online they will give you a free workout. The owner, Tyler, texted me to set it up about an hour later. Lagrande pushed me, and the environment was incredibly positive. I do wish they had more showers, but all in all I will be joining.

We toured the facility, and I'm extremely impressed. Their equipment is unique and high-end, and they have a great routine including cardio, "striking", and strength. This is not a gym for those who want to just use a facility, but rather a gym for those who want a guided training program with a close group of like-minded people. I was also impressed with the "tech" of this gym. They're one of the only gyms who advertise real, no-haggle pricing right on their website (so you don't have to waste time with "car salesman" pitches and pricing games, fees for this and that, etc.). Their website is well designed, their staff respond to emails and text messages, and they even have an app with a composite score to track your progress and improvement. This is definitely a gym for the millennials! Unfortunately, the price was out of our budget, but I definitely would choose this gym in a heartbeat under different circumstances.
