First time experience. We met friends there for dinner who were on vacation at this restaurant located in the Bavarian themed village of Leavenworth. The place was almost empty, but seemed like a breakfast hangout for older community members. I had heard it was well regarded in previous years. We had good service and good food with generous portions. Unfortunately the place itself was dated and "worn out." It needs a facelift. A remodel combined with the quality food and service would do wonders. I do recommend this place, but don't let the decor or lack thereof scare you off.

We ended up going here during a busier time of day, which is mainly because of the festival Leavenworth has every year during the holiday season. 

To actually begin, we saw that they won best interior for their diner, which held true to its word. Even though it was cute and the service was decent, the same food can be found at any diner that claims instant gravy and other entrees as homemade to simply be prepackage and loaded with salt. 

You can definitely find comfort in the replication of some of the German themed dishes, but I find it needless to say that you might have a better time finding something more authentic both to the theme of town and to the quality of the dish. Although I essentially compare this place to Denny's, Kristall's definitely vibes better with me and the food is still hot when it came to my table.
It's inexpensive, but you definitely pay for what you get.

Went with my husband on a Sunday night. Wasn't greeted when we walked in, server was having a conversation and didn't stop to take us to a table. I didn't so much care about that but when she came to take our order I was unsure about what to get and she asked if I had any questions. So I asked if she liked the fettuccine Alfredo or the prime rib dip more and she replied "I thought they were both disgusting." Um ok. I get everyone is entitled to their own opinion but probably not the best thing to say to a customer. Got our food, it was good. Nothing amazing. Flash forward to Monday morning and husband and I are both sick to our stomach. Not sure if it was directly related or not. Overall, wouldn't really recommend going here unless you're desperate.

This place was so good I ate there twice. And had a nice  sit by a fireplace! They have beautiful Christmas decorations Santa's from around the world. It was lovely. And the staff was wonderful! I recommend it!!!!

It’s your standard diner. Food was good but not great. If you need a quick, relatively inexpensive bite (compared to other restaurants) this is the place. Service was great when we visited on Saturday morning so I guess it depends on the day. The bathrooms need some serious cleaning and fresheners.
