My wife and I are celebrating 11 years of being together and this place was recommended by a co-worker of mine (for the ambiance and the food)and a worker at Der Sportsman so figured we’d go here for dinner. I saw the menu beforehand so I knew it was going to be a bit spendy. We didn’t wait that long to get a table but the waitress that was serving us wasn’t too excited to be at work. Nothing above and beyond to make our experience great so it made us feel like we were “just a customer” and not a guest. The ordered the meat and cheese appetizer, a top sirloin steak for my wife (which was dry and shouldn’t have been for medium well) and a pork chop with mushroom/rice along with side salads which cost us $100 (before tip). The food was mostly good (besides the steak). Like I mentioned before, I knew what the price was going to be like to eat here but for the service and food, I felt that it could have been better and we left severely disappointed. The a service was not what I would expect for throwing down $100 and the servers could do better in acting the part by giving suggestions/recommendations on what would be good to eat and such. We had extremely better service at Wok About Mongolian Grill and we paid a fraction of the price. I’m very sad to say that I will not be visiting this place again.

Decided to visit because the menu looked quite intriguing. The wait was only a few minutes. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. ... ... Ok. The food... absolutely delicious. Not only were the flavors spot on, but everything was executed perfectly. I, myself, am a graduate of culinary school, and my boyfriend and I both have moderately high expectations of food and service. I ordered the pork chop, medium, with mushroom risotto. It was perfectly cooked medium and was juicy and perfectly seasoned. I don't normally eat mushrooms, but these were delicious. My boyfriend ordered the short rib with buttered pasta. I can't remember if that was a signature dish or not, but if it wasn't it should be. I tried his and we agreed that was the best short rib we've ever had. Anywhere. The braise was on point. Super tender and extremely balanced and flavorful. I wish we had saved room for dessert so I could review that as well, but we ate every bite of dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My husband and I came to Leavenworth for our anniversary. We had heard good things about Visconti's, so we choose to eat there for our anniversary dinner. We were seated pretty quickly and brought water. The waitress came over, didn't ask us how we were doing, nothing. She asked us if we wanted appetizers, didn't bother offering anything, no suggestions, no menu explanations, she just stood and waited. We were brought bread and an oil/herb mixture to go on it, which tasted good. We ordered an appetizer, two salads to go with our two meals, two soda's, I ordered a steak, medium well. I asked what was served with it (the menu didn't say), she said rosemary potatoes and roasted vegetables. Our food was brought out, our waitress grated parmesan cheese on our food and walked away. She didn't ask if we needed anything else and I didn't get a chance to ask for steak sauce or anything else. The potatoes were whole baby red potatoes, good flavor, but very dry! The "roasted vegetables" was a pile of white onions with a few carrots mixed in. My 8oz steak was dry and very overcooked! I took two bites and was done. Our waitress came back once and asked how everything was, by this point I wasn't going to bother complaining, she obviously didn't care and I didn't want to deal with it. THEN, we got the bill-$100! Really? $100- for crappy food and crappy service?! My only regret (aside from coming here) is that I left a 9% tip, I should've left nothing.

I absolutely love this place. The lamb shank is to die for and the wine selection fabulous. I went in most recently on Father's Day and the owner or manager came to check on us , we asked if we could buy some of the cool pint glasses, she told us they were for sale at a store a shop downstairs and I thanked her. Ten minutes later she came back with the glasses I wanted and told me they were free of charge, I paid for them anyway but what awesome service. She went above and beyond the norm and it was much appreciated. I highly recommend this place for its impeccable service and gourmet cuisine.

I use to love this place. Something changed because the service is horrible now. After we were seated... waited 15 minutes and our waiter just came up and said “you ready to order?” Never introduced himself or asked us how we were doing or if we wanted drinks. Instead of giving my 2 year old a cup with a straw... they just pour water into a glass cup for him.... he’s 2..... the prawns were not good and not filling and way over priced. Will never go back
